This is getting out of hand (assassin/damage obsession)

Yet again. Four damage mains. All AD melee assassin ultimate fastest killfastest of Killfastia.

And none of them do ANYTHING with all this infinite power they supposedly have. They aren't doing damage, pushing or defending lanes, killing champions (not without EXTENSIVE assistance from others), or taking objectives, and they're sure as shit not warding.

You want to know who is doing literally everything? The support. The support is going very, VERY,** VERY** extensively far beyond their intended role and going literally everything for the team, and then some. On an average game, I'm pushing lanes, defending lanes, tanking (even if I'm not a tank), applying crowd control, warding, deep warding, ward smashing, pinging objectives, guiding our team so they don't decide to scuttle off and kite the jungle camps with basic attacks, defending lanes, pushing lanes, kiting the enemy, healing, buffing, dealing magic damage, dealing RANGED damage, and the list goes on, and I'm expected to do all this on less than a shoestring budget while the rest of the team thinks I'm trying to make them lose and will go miles out of their way to NOT help me, even if it means we lose objectives or the game.

The support is the load-bearer for the entire team in a worst-case scenario that plays out more often than should be allowed. This is the STANDARD game right now; not a case of exceptional circumstances or a once in a blue moon occurrence. This happens all the time. The most sickening part of this is all these damage mains, all the people who want to go Yasuo, Zed, Vayne and Jax in every game in every lane in every waking moment of their life, who have so devoutly dedicated themselves to doing absolutely nothing but damage... they can't even do that. On an average game, I'm OUTDAMAGING the damage mains. WITHOUT OFFENSIVE ITEMS!

I've gone through three years' worth of Hell Week being the support main, doing everything that the rest of the team doesn't want to do (which ends up being a disturbing amount of things). I've learned to be so fierce that the enemy has no choice but to dump absolutely everything on me to make sure I drop, even if I'm supposedly a non-threatening support. This conditioning has turned me into a murder machine when I'm actually given real power.

And I expect more from the rest of you who dedicate yourselves so much to this oh so coveted damage. So where is it? Why is it that despite having a full build of nothing but damage and crit items you have yet to destroy one turret in your lane? Or at all? Ever? What stops you from giving the turrets a little love tap? Afraid you'll break a nail? I've destroyed more turrets in one game than you will in the entire season, and that's because for all the infinite damage you supposedly possess, you have all the ferocity of a department store mannequin.

I think anyone who wants to be a damage main should have to go through the same Hell Week I've endured and continue to endure. For one month. And they're not allowed to look up guides or videos or tutorials. And they're not allowed to surrender. Does that sound painful? I hope it does; that's only a fraction of the bullshit you put me through that you're too blind to notice.

Stop whining. You're not a special fucking snowflake for playing support.

Aside from the last paragraph it was a fun read. When you have games that go 60+ mins and people still have less than 5 wards placed all game, that's a problem. Truth is though "assassins" will always have less damage done. Their only goal is burst someone dead, if they don't kill said person, second goal is get out alive. I've had a game where I lead the team in damage to champions as Sona, we lost but still. Supports can make or break a game, but with out someone dealing damage, the game is over anyways. It's like the old saying,"Women(carries), can't live with them. Can't hold them by their throats and dangle them over a balcony." Good supports make mediocre adc's good, but bad supports make great adc's terrible. Supports who keep getting caught over extending in lane trying to trade. Who decide to ward river with trinket(their only ward) when the enemy jungler shows top and enemy mid is pushed to tower. Who facecheck to place deep wards. Supports who push the wave, when you're trying to freeze. Who "help" with minion last hitting. Who build full damage with the intent of Carrying from the support role. These are the people that I had to put up with when I started playing league, and are the reason why I main support now. All I'm saying mate, is that it is a two-way street. Find the person each game who actually plays add them after. Soon enough you got someone for each lane you like. Hope your rant helped out, we all gotta do it now and then. Take care.
