Is Taliyah a bit too strong right now?

Just had a match against her. I was AurelionSol (nemesis draft).

It was pretty insane. Pre-6 we had some good trades and the match felt even, but after 6 there was little I could do against her. It was then that I noticed some nuances to her kit.

Her E pushes waves WAYY too hard. The initial damage obviously hurts them and the next explosion finishes them off.

If she catches you in the initial E, with the slow, then good luck dodging her W, resulting in a crap-ton of damage. I even had item 3009 and it was still really hard to dodge. The only time I ever dodged was when she missed me entirely.

On top of this, her Q is also a great way to shove lanes or do fat damage to opponents. The whole worked ground thing doesn't really seem to gate it that much and the fact that she gains MS while on it is just...why? Like it doesn't really do anything but it's just more on the pile.

Once she gets a item 3116 avoiding her abilities becomes even MORE difficult.

Also lets think of this scenario. You get caught in her E slow. She slows you really hard and so she follows with a W to try to get some more damage off. You can't walk of it. You have a dash in your kit but if you use it you take damage anyways. You have to use it just to avoid the displacement and potential danger of the W. Your options are take damage or take more damage.

Like I'd hate to be a melee champ against her.

Not even close. Also, your matchup was a fairly bad one.

Swiftys only reduces slow duration ...if your stuck in say taliyah e or singed w mega adhesive <those boots of swiftness really are useless against a continuing slow... but say its yorick's w (aka his bread and butter ability )swiftys would be the way to go

And no taliyah definitely is not to strong #xD

"swiftys only reduces slow duration" WRONG

Sorry but I hate when people try to correct me with wrong information MERC TREAD decrease slow duration. SWIFTYS decrease the effectiveness of the slows by 25%

A lot of people think that a champ is 'over-powered' when they don't know the counterplay.

As Aurelion Sol, don't get into the range of her E unless you're attacking her with your Q - otherwise there isn't really a reason to. If she runs towards you, then throw out your Q. Even when in her slow, her W isn't difficult to dodge if you just move in an unexpected direction. Her E and W are gated by long cd's, especially early game, whereas yours are shorter.

You can avoid Taliyah's Q by staying behind minions, although I get that it isn't always ideal. You don't understand the importance of worked ground; it prevents her spamming rock bullets.

Taliyah is also pretty vulnerable to ganks (unless your jg comes in at half health, cos that's just foolish).
