why isnt there friendly fire?

xDogMeatx··2 votes·1,762 views

i dont care if it gives 0 gold/exp. if someone bluntly says they are gonna 6v4 us (join the enemy team and feed hard also) there should be a friendly fire thing triggered so that they dont give them that advantage. i dealt with this in my game just now. i mean come on leashing the rift herald with the enemy??? and also providing them gold while building tears then selling them to build mortal reminder late game and only that and still feeding them/providing them info on our teams locations. wtf kind of stuff is that.

or just simply kick them the hell out of my game.

not really if someone literally says "im gonna help the enemy team and feed them to end early because they deserve the win" the team should vote on allow attack X player for actually inting/assisting the enemy turning it into a 6v4.

And lower your chances of winning even more? Since now your skills can be blocked by something that shouldn't be blocking them? You literally accomplish nothing positive by having friendly fire on. Even if it's an inter. You are wasting resources better spend on the enemy on someone who you can use as bait. Just let him do his mindless thing and collapse on the enemy at a time that they are not expecting it.

all they do is auto them to get credit. so i dont think they will waste abilities on the obvious inter.

Sorry but what? Auto them? I'm not talking about the enemy hitting the inter. I'm talking about the inter literally being able to block YOUR teams skillshots. Once again, there is nothing positive to be gained. Other people in this thread have said everything I could but better so listen to them.

thats why you keep those disruptive people with the grey screen or just kick them out. i dont know why you enjoy 0 counterplay games.

are you this dense? you literally are lowering your chances of winning even further. Like people already said to you, are you going to go after the inter/troll? wasting time and resources that would be better used on the enemy? second you keep saying things like "well you can clearly tell the troll by someone who says that they are trolling"... well sorry to say this but the vast majority of trolls/inters won't say that, admit to it and will just play the game without saying much or be angry that you even imply that they are doing what you say they are doing. Which would make this be largely useless in the vast majority of cases except the extreme small amount of games where they admit to it... which they will just stop admitting to it the instant this comes out. So awesome you achieved nothing but making things worst for everyone. Except the inter/troller since now they have an extra tool they can use against you so good job!

And what about the person that says "You all suck. You don't deserve to win. I'm 30/0/0, you're all less than that", then turns friendly fire on and starts spawn killing your team?

im saying it as in the troll cant attack the team. but they can attack him why should one person destroy everyones fun. if you allowed 1 way street friendly fire on that person you can keep him out of the game as often as possible.

What stops the 30/0/0 player from considering you a troll? What prevents the duo from labeling you a troll or preventing your from enabling this friendly fire?

Any system that could detect who the real troll was in game could be used to hit the troll with a ban, which would be far more effective and less likely to become a tool of the trolls.

easy one way street friendly fire that tells them if someone is clearly leashing herald and assisting the enemy on basically pinging our teams locations. they gotta clearly say that they are helping the enemy therefore is helping them also. equals a 1 way street friendly fire for however the game lasts or till the majority says so its null.

DrCyanide3 votes

As soon as you make it dependent on something they say they'll find another way to say it that doesn't trigger the system. And anything that requires a majority can be stopped or misused by a premade.

Your one way friendly fire only makes things worse if the wrong person is being attacked.

That's not a one-way street. You're giving the troll the ability to attack you as well. You'd be just as screwed since you'd still be a person down and now you'd also need to dedicate additional time each spawn chasing and killing your own teammate. And all this is assuming it's 1 troll to 4 people and the 4 people were capable of bringing the troll down.

What would you do if it were two trolls running around attacking allies? Or four? Or just the person carrying most of the kills on the team deciding that you weren't helping enough and instead just kills you?

Then you'd have to worry about all the instances that such a mechanic would screw up normal play when there were no trolls.

"Oops, sorry I misclicked. Didn't mean to hit you with the Veigar ult"

its is a one way street to attack the troll to keep him out of the game so he doesnt feed them more leashes or gold.

The result is the same, as stated;

"You'd be just as screwed since you'd still be a person down and now you'd also need to dedicate additional time each spawn chasing and killing your own teammate. "

So not only are you not preventing the troll from trolling but you're also adding in the potential for people to use said tool to troll. Even if you make it a vote system what would stop a 4 man pre-made from deciding that they want to completely ruin someone's game and possibly get them banned for intentionally feeding? What would stop 4 random jerks deciding that the 5 person deserves to be team attacked just because they played poorly unintentionally?

it will be implemented automatically by said individual says they are gonna int or something or "HEY IM GONNA LEASH YOU HERALD THEY DESERVE TO LOSE" and does it. that deserves counterplay.

AeroWaffle2 votes

Because everyone knows that an intentional feeder must announce that they will intentionally feed. That's the rules. Especially when a new system triggers based on that. No way for them to get around that. Completely fool proof.

whats the counterplay to inting then?

JuiceBoxP2 votes

there is none, lol.... you have an inting teammate you are bound to lose. that's why this game is so frustrating.

giving him friendly fire just means he can troll you harder

Honestly I've always thought friendly fire would be kind of an interesting challenge increase to the game overall. Maybe not for the normal modes, but as a custom game mode, definitely. Playing around your allies and enemies at the same time would definitely provide some wtf moments that would be enjoyable to see.

i mean whats your response to my question though about the ally basically joining the enemy side and helping them out as much as he can. times like that want me to just kayle E them.

In that case they should be reported, where the player can be taken care of.

so i should just deal with them assisting the enemy team? theres no counterplay to inters/joiners.

Ori presses E on her Ornn. Ornn goes in hard with two stacking shields.

Ori presses R. yikes.

im guessing people want people who join the enemy team talk about scummy downvoters. well i cant expect people to accept how logic works.

Would make a nice new game mode.

But this will just cause more problems than actually solve them.

I'm not fully sure how though.

Don't need to solve problem, it's funnier having ff
