Lee is good in any elo if played by a skilled person.

Janna, imo, is only good in higher elos.

I don't recall him saying anything about a specific rank.

Don't you understand how elo works?

Challenger > Silver > Master tier > Diamond > Bronze > Platinum > Gold > Wood 7

Group think. The same thing that makes people think he is good at high elo. The statistics say otherwise. Do pay attention to the graph of win rate vs games played with Lee Sin as a jungler in ranked. And remember only Plat+ players are included in the sample.

Now compare that graph to this one.

When I read that I assumed you meant that high elos think he's good in high elo which is completely false since I have several high-diamond/master friends who think he's shit.

I meant people on this board. It is one of the recurring statements in debates about him.

Sure. Lee is total crap. The top 100 players NA like to play Lee Sin because he is uter crap. When a hero is a staple in high elo, there is something really wrong with that champion. Especially Lee that is relevant since release. And generally they are nerfed. ( See seijuani nerfs, hec nerfs... probably we will see graves nerfs ina while and maybe, even zed. But I doubt lee sin will be nerfed. With high popularity nerfing him is like going to Kim Jong Il funeral. A whole country weeping because their broken champion left them and went to ( nerf) heaven/hell. Source: http://www.lolking.net/leaderboards/#/na/1

Because he isn't good in high elo.

He's only good in 5v5 organized play, which composes about 1% of the games played.

I don't think he's OP or anything, but a 17.68% pick rate is a tad excessive. Though there's other problematic champions, such as Graves's high pick rate (40%+), Jinx (30%), and Leona (25%).

shrugs

People don't like Lee Sin because he just has a shit ton of stuff in his kit, and not all of it makes sense. Just a lot of utility with a lot of damage as well (200% bonus AD and higher base damage than Vi's ultimate; and you wonder why some Vi players got pissed).

does this mean we can nerf Jinx if pickrate is excessive? Every time I make a thread about her I get told that a massive winrate + pickrate + LCS play is fine.

Vi is still more reliably able to do damage and Lee's ult might have a lot of damage but you can't just straight up use it for damage without thinking like you can with basically every aspect of Vi's kit.

LCS is mostly tanks now though.

Except Vi's main initiation tool outside her ultimate is also her main escape, while Lee has a ranged skillshot and an escape in two different spells, plus his ultimate is a peel rather than an initiation.

Sure, you can go in without thinking, but you don't have tools to escape if you goof up like you do with Lee (though Lee can certainly be caught out).

Lee by himself is a way worse champion than Vi. Lee by himself is actually a way worse champion than a lot of champions. Although he has a lot of mobility, he is probably the worst duelist among bruisers. You also don't have to use his ult for peel and you can use it for assassination/wombo, but it's so much harder to do that and if he's using it to peel, he's using it to peel a target that likely won't care too much anyways since they would've died if a Vi was there in the same amount of time or they would've escaped from it.

Furthermore, Vi's W applies a stack on everything she does so that'll add up to make her damage/tank shredding so much higher than Lee's high ratios on paper.
