Mysticman891 votesWhen did you do those placements? Placements and most peoples MMR were super messed up for the first week or two, and they only recently put in a fix, and playing a fresh match will give you a more appropriate placement if the pictures placement was before the fix.

Rendath1 votesEither you know how to get carried (it's a skill) or ELO hell is real and you were a high Plat stuck in lower ELO. I guess there is also a small chance of being unusually lucky. It does say "almost" all players...
(but hey what would I know, I ended season 5 in Gold 5, and 4W-6L got me into Bronze 1 :D)
WoonStruck1 votesMMR differences actually aren't as drastic as you think between gold and diamond. The MMR crunch that happened with the reset makes it so golds would get placed with plats or greater relatively frequently.
Take into consideration that wins gave much greater MMR than initially inteneded...yeah.
Plat+ players aren't actually as good as you think. Most players are just REALLY bad at the game. Once you get past bronze/silver, which holds 80%+ of the population of LoL, the differences in skill become smaller and smaller, while knowledge and consistency increase.
Before boosting was common, Gold+ only accounted for ~10%-12% of the population of LoL.
WoonStruck1 votesMakes me wish I had played my placements solo instead of playing in a bronze premade (because I most likely wouldn't be able to play with them after placements) and carrying every one in pretty much every game with an S+ only to have my MMR tanked by queuing with them so hard that I got placed in Silver 1 lol.
I normally end up with plats+ or greater in my games when I go solo. :/
