Champion performance rating mostly only encourages kills.

At first I didn't care, but now Hextech chests on the line it's annoying me to see those guys with 20+ kills get S(++) ranks most every single game. Not necessarily for performing their role, or even in many cases for even doing the most damage, just their scoreboard numbers.

It feels like as a support, as control mages, as tanks - there's nothing to do to get S ranks, some games I can do lots of damage and have excellent contribution but kills will be low - I have to play an assassin and kill 20 people, even if I lose I get an S rank, it's just not right.

I went 3/4/22 with Sona and got an S rating..S-? S+? I'm not sure, one of the S's. I've also gotten an S with 1 kill 1 death.

So no, you don't need only kills to get it. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Edit: On a side note I went 12/4/13 on Jayce. Only got an A.

But the ratings aren't based on kills. Yes, it's a contributing factor, but not the only one.

I think not dying (much) is rated higher than getting a lot of kills, for example.

I'm not saying it's the only way to get an S rank, just that it seems to heavily favor getting an S rank this way. It's rare I see a support get one, they can have 100% kill contribution and not get it etc - the formula seems elusive.
