She has obscene amounts of mobility, lane sustain, and true damage.

what true damage?

Her Orb of Deception does true damage on the return.

but the amount of her true damage is far from obscene...

An AOE skillshot on a 4-6 second cool down max rank and it scales off your AP? Puts Irelia's true damage to shame.

You have to consistently hit on its return (harder to do) and compared to chogath or darius this is nothing.

I'm not arguing that it's strong or anything: I haven't even played against an Ahri this patch, so I don't know what the numbers are.

Or are you reading in Chronological view (I use Discussion View), so it looks like I'm saying "Ahri is good because of her true damage."

Because if so, I'm responding to Keitron's question of 'what true damage?' by saying where she has True damage in her kit, and I guess Chronological View doesn't show you the post I'm responding to.

Like I said, I haven't even played against an Ahri for months, let alone this recent patch, so I'm pretty apathetic about how strong she is or not.

EDIT: Yeah Discussion view doesn't show the post I'm responding to; I might have to start quoting for the future.

what true damage?

Her q is like gnar's boomerang which can hit twice. Once going forward and another back towards him. Ahri's q can hit twice with the second time hitting a target causes true damage

Why necro? Seriously?

Perhaps the speedboost from Q allows her to more easily hit her Charm.

I think it's because Ahri can effectively deal with Zed mid. If she actually is a counter to him now that win rate wouldn't be odd at all if Ahri vs Zed happens often enough.

I think she also can deal with Lee Sin better than most other champions can.

Movement speed on Q also makes it easier to not waste any Foxfires.

And well, her roaming is even better. Doesn't matter if she lost a little bit of damage when you have hard CC and the mobility to always show up to fights.

She's much stronger in lane now. Teamfight is some worse, but being better in lane usually is worth paying a pretty high price, since you emerge from lane with a gold lead to cover for the weakness.

Would not be surprised if favorable Zed matchup is most of the win rate increase. Very easy to Q Zed, then dodge his Q with your awesome MS.

Mobility on her Q is one hell of a drug. I sure as hell never would've predicted numbers like this when I first heard about the "compensation buffs." Turns out the balance team was right to be so cautious on the amount of damage they gave back to her, eh?

I'd say it's not just zed. Anyone that relies on skillshots is gonna have a hard time against her now with her Q mobility, which is the majority of midlaners. Also, let's not forget that the ahri buffs came at the same time as two big assassin nerfs: fizz and akali. Both of their winrates have dropped significantly; if ahri is being picked in the same games as fizz and akali, it's only natural that ahri's winrate will go up.
