The worst part about playing support

The Deckowner··1 votes·398 views

Is when your adc is unranked pre-placement fresh lv30 with 0 mastery level playing FOTM champ like Vayne and feed their ass off.

Which you can't do anything about btw, they tell you to kill yourself when you are simply telling them "Don't walk up when Jhin has 4th shot".

This is why no one want to play support, Rito! No one want to have lower rank no experience shit mechanic adc and get auto lose, 1v2ing lane as support while your adc takes all the resource and constantly feeding free kill to the enemy is not fun.

I stopped having to worry about whether my ADC was going to hold me back around mid Gold. Before that, I recommend hard carry supports like Brand so that a bad ADC doesn't impact your performance.

On the other side, being an adc with a support who has no clue how to effectively support can be a comparably miserable experience, and part of what motivated me to switch from adc main to sup main.

As an adc with a useless support, I'll probably be zoned to bits and while I can farm scraps under tower safely, I'll be way behind and hard to be relevant, plus as the adc there is still a big target on my head.

As a support with a useless adc, I can maybe disengage things and damage control until the end of laning, and then I can focus my attention on whoever is competent on the team and help them carry. Since support kits are pretty much by design useful without levels/gold, I don't feel useless even if laning phase is a disaster.

What Nami said, although, i find that if they act like that, go roam and help other lanes. ADC feeds but you help get kills for other lanes, ADC is worth no gold, your team can bum rush them when the time is right. I always like champions i can do that with..... Bard, Nami, Zilean, Thresh, Blitzcrank, Leona, Janna, pretty much you name it, it can roam if you do it smart. Even helped the jungler gank the enemy jungler on multiple occasions.

I guess I am too kind to my adc, you know it is that sad feeling when you have hope in your kid so no matter how hard life is you support your kid, but they end up disappointing you and you just feel like WTF did I do with my life.

all of it is the worst part

See, thats where you have it wrong, you support your kid if they do something wrong, but you try to help them if they let you. If they dont, let them make their own mistakes, they will learn eventually :) (or die multiple times in the process only to be brought back by the powers that be only to die again in some cruel twisted medieval tragedy .-. best to just leave none the less so you dont have to watch.

Depends on the support mostly. If you are a mage support, letting the ADC be the focus can at least net you some easy money.

Seriously though, I agree. Being blamed for your ADC's inability to build a QSS or dodge a skillshot is frustrating. ADC is busy pushing the enemy tier two bot while everyone else is trying to take mid outer. Look over to see the ADC being 3v1'd and they complain that they can't even farm.

Yeah, there are times when the support is sorta to blame for the ADC dying, like not blocking a Caitlyn or Jhin ult, or not at least trying to peel the divers off the ADC. But even then, half the complaining from ADCs I hear are "it's all your fault that the enemy is stronger than me even though I died 10 times to him."
