One mistake
When I started playing in season 4, my girlfriend who was than way ahead of me in high gold, told me that once you make a mistake in Gold in a late game teamfight, you can lose the game, just because of that bad decision, I found out the hard way in season 5 and 6 when I reached gold in season 5 and platinum in season 6.
But right now in season 7 it feels like this one mistake can happen really really early in the game, once you make that one mistake in lane and your enemy gets firstblood on you, the lane is lost and he snowballs the fuck out of the game without any chance of getting back in the game unless your opponent does something really stupid time and time over again.
The game is becoming so unforgiving. I am in gold 5 right now playing with and against mostly platinum players from last season, but one single mistake early game can destroy my whole game. The snowballing and damage exponentials seem so out of control, that there is no coming back.
In the past when someone cc'd me, I took about 60%- 80% of my max health in damage and got away with barely any health, but at least I got away, right now you're simply dead with the slightest of miss steps. Yes I might be playing against platinum players that know the game a bit better, but when I am inches away from my turret and can't farm anymore for the remainder of the game and having enemies have an x2 farm lead, how can I even get back in the game? Should I just accept my fate and try to get as little as possible farm as I can get and hope that the enemy makes stupid mistakes so I have a very very small chance to get back?
Please, Riot make the game a bit more forgiving again.
