Hashinshin just said what everyone was thinking.

he is 100% correct in all of his statements. riot is doing a horrible job at balancing the game and it all started when riot started FORCING certain metas on players just for the sake of "mah esports". doesnt help that ADCs are a DIRECT cause of many melee items and melee runes getting nerfed while the ADCs main items go untouched.

I have to disagree.

Hashinshin said what everybody who has the same mentality is thinking or to be more direct: he is confirming their bias. This might be convenient for some players but by no stretch of imagination does it prove anything at all.

He pretty much is a glorified low elo player. Running it down top while literally refusing to acknowledge and understand the roles that other lanes play, little to no regard for teamplay, he then expects the whole game to change, tells us that the game is terrible and unbalanced, blames adc or support or whatever for being too strong blah bla blah.... just because his one-dimensional, egoistic tunnel vision playstyle can't work with how the game is designed.

The game has actually improved and this is why it can't work. Hashinshin is the living proof that League of Legends has evolved and become a much better team game.

tell me how the game has "improved" since season 4? we have been going in a backwards direction for years... Damage has never been this high in all of league. snowballing has never been this high in all of league. Tanks are so good right now because the only way to deal with the stupid amounts of damage is by building a shit ton of HP and resistances in order to survive.

Damage has been SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER than this before. Hypersnowballing has been around before. Some tanks are good because they deal decent amounts of damage while being able to soak up damage and/or have lots of CC and good utility.

Even BPS has been higher than this before.

As for how the game has improved, bugfixes, the VGUs, much needed updates for certain champions, itemization updates (like the AP item update on the PBE), new champions, the Practice Tool, and the list goes on.

name ONE season where damage was "significantly higher" than it is right now and ill tell you why you are dead wrong.

S1, S2, and parts of S3.

"High" is a relative term. If you think that damage is high but tanks are also "good" what exactly is the problem? If everything is too good, then everything is balanced.

If you think that the game is so bad then there must be something that can't keep up with the high damage or whatever else you consider OP. So name it.

I completely disagree. Balance has been on/off good and bad since back when I started playing back at the beginning of S2. Metas are usually a result of balancing oversights, bugs, problematic interactions, bad PBE feedback (_Cough _ Skarner and Morde reworks on release cough), a hesitancy to make large scale changes to power dynamics, which completely change the meta and gameplay and also make the boards take up arms against riot, and bad ideas that get past the bad idea filter.

back around the time riot started to reduce global passives like janna old passive and TFs old passive and also remove old dragon giving gold riot had it set in there mind that they wanted to reduce snowballing. they made a MASSIVE amount of changes to try and address snowballing. in season 8 snowballing is the worst its ever been in the games history. all changes they tried to make was undone. its as if they changed balance teams at some point and they did it for the worse.

When Riot did things to address snowballing, people complained that the games took too long, etc. And the snowballing isn't actually at its worst. There's been crazier snowballing, this isn't the first time hypersnowballing has been in the game.

The main difference now is which champions are hypersnowballing.

As for why the snowballing has turned into hypersnowballing again, it's because Riot was receiving constant feedback that things that have turned problematically powerful were too weak, and thus buffed/ignored them until they became obviously problematic at a glance.

A lot of the problem isnt the bad ideas per say. Those are fine as long as they get fixed in a reasonable amount of time. Stuff like Ardent should run rampant and push out all non healing/shielding supports for 3+ months at a time. That is riot, in my opinion, acting like a toddler tantrum over a toy in the store. The big and small changes are fine, but riot lets them sit the way they are for way to long of a period usually.

So I hear he's some sort of prophet. Good thing I don't care about prophets.

If you’re going to hold up Trashinshin as some sort of holy prophet, you may as well do the rest of us who don’t follow him the favor of providing us with a source on what he actually said.
