Laning against zed in a nutshell:

He can just push wave all day while harassing you with his manaless ability spam. If you try to gank him, he just shadows away. If you somehow manage to have the upper hand in lane, he can just cs safely with his w+q and can last hit very easily with his passive. If he gets you below 60% hp, prepare to get tower dove and killed while he gets away safely because of his ult. If he is struggling in lane he can just get hexdrinker and eliminate any advantage you had over him. If he is ahead, he can just get serrated dirk with makes him able to 100-0 any time he wants.

Tldr: Zed needs nerfs.

"Manaless" He has energy you know, he can't just spam or he'll run out much to quick and you can easily go on him before he gets enough back to do trades well. (If you know how to dodge Q's or just you know stand behind minons)

Dude, Zed is easy as hell to deal with. The only time Zed is ever really a problem is when the Zed is at somewhere close near Faker level, and those are rare as hell. You can hide behind minions and watch his poke that takes half his energy dissipate, his shadows only come up every twenty seconds, his ult is probably the easiest thing to bait and disable in the game, and hexdrinker can be nullified by Sorcerer Boots. Git gud, dasdi96.

You can't hide behind minions since his shurikens will still reach you, they go through everything. If he combines his poke with a quick shadow cast, you'll get hit pretty much 99% of the time. Let him repeat that a few times and he can go in to finish you off, and now the snowballing starts.

How exactly is that balanced in any way? Not to forget that he has the easiest farming in the entire game thanks to his passive basically executing all low health minions. He has far too many strengths and too little weaknesses.

It hits you for heavily reduced damage. I never said it was easy to dodge, but it is easy to minimize. Also, if he does poke you with his shadow, then he's currently at the equivalent of OOM- Wide open for an engage. That's what confuses me about people laning against him- Why don't they ever engage when he's low on energy? Also, many champions have easy farming like that. Karthus gets mana back with his Q and E, Ekko has an execute on his W, anyone with Hydra can clear waves insanely fast, Shyvana had such insane waveclear her Q had to be nerfed hard, Pantheon gets 100% crit chance below 15% HP, Relic Shield executes, honestly his execute farming isn't special. I don't know why people emphasize this. Hell, Aurelion Sol is getting a minion execute as well.
