Could Double Support ever be viable?

I've always wanted to try going support top + top laner as well as having the bot lane + support, it always seemed like it could be a fun idea. I know if the enemy team didn't have a support as well, your lane would have the level disadvantage, but I still wonder if it could possibly work?

Everything is viable in niche scenarios. But generally speaking, no.

i guess you could do something like Smite Leona/Nautilus/Blitz/Taric/Alistar/Braum and have them each clear their respective sides of the jungle and then walk back into lane. Otherwise the enemy jungler is going to have too much control over obejctives, and too much exp from a un-cleared jungle.

Lower levels I would say yes but the 2v1 need to force the 1 out of lane or make the jungler waste his time sitting top.

Higher lvls/elo would be a no go.. like you said the level disadvantage and lack of jungle pressure. All the top would have to do is sit there and get some xp n gold... even then he can take jungle camps since his jungler has free reign.

A better option would be to use a support as the jungler. There are some supports like Taric, Leona, and Braum who are able to clear the jungle. Leona also has great ganks while Taric and Braum have great counter ganks.

I mean whats the REAL difference between an ivern jungle that camps top lane and a top lane support?
