LegendmakerGX8 votesWell it took them 2 month and 2 week to balance out Khaz and Rengar, Riot didn't balance both of those 2 until first week of LCS since that is when the first week LCS started and pros abused them. Yes they are going to nerf the items but no they should not nerf Varus/MF because of a horrible item design. Varus was never broken to start off with people only used him because of his poke Q with lethality to damage adc/mid from afar.
Don't take my word for it if you don't believe me then go on youtube, I think it's up there or still on twitch but ImQ and Scarra said they didn't get why it took so long to even balance the game out from preseason to now (Been about 1 week ago).

Riot will never actually try to balance their game, since that wouldn't make money. The brokens will stay broken until they stop making money, then something else will become broken, and so it will continue.

No one like being ignored and when it goes on for as long as it has in riots case people are bound to be fed up with radio silence, outside of a few cherry picked posts on the "nexus" most of which are just jokes or attempts to pat themselves on the back riot doesn't really communicate as often as they said they would.

One unbalanced patch will feel like an eternity but when you look back on it, you'll realize it was condensed to a few weeks, a month at most. Virtually nothing in the long run, which is why I stress for people to not overreact. They will address these problems.

With so many items and 120+ champions it is near impossible to get decent balance, but they usually do a good job with their game. A big problem is a lot of the problems Riot has no good ideas on how to fix them, and the community offers really bad feedback and insight to gameplay.
Dextix LT1 votesThe problem that right now, the balance is not even decent. It was decent in the days of cinderhulk after nerfing the notable abusers. Now, it is crap. More than half of the junglers are shit now, with only a few exceptions being riddiculous.
Also, DOTA, has a lot of heroes and ITEMS that rival the hero count, yet they seem to balance their game pretty well.

But as for the state of League, I think that 7.4 might be a good start or possibly even just enough. I'm expecting follow up nerfs if more is needed. Riot is making the steps, it just feels like forever even though it has been like a month and a half since the changes.

Can you provide your source for this? I don't see it in surrenderAt20.
I ask because I'm genuinely curious which champions are getting extra base armor. It would be an imbalanced buff to squishies if every champion got it. However if Riot goes through and does a pass on all champions which currently frequently build armor and selects who to get base armor buffs out of that (which is exactly what they did when they removed mana pots, which I hated because I played Ahri and often bought 3+ mana pots per game on her but since most ahri players didn't use mana pots she got no compensation - it's fine that it works in aggregate but it screws up players with different playstyles [and given my >60% win rate on her I figure my style was more optimal, at least in my elo]). So now the same thing - I build J4 as 
+ optional 6th item. That's pretty tanky, yet most J4 players build him 
. Odds are Riot won't consider GA or boots to be armor items and will thus not compensate him with base armor if they do this pass - which would be grossly unfair to anyone that likes to play him tanky (which frankly, WAS popular and still is good, and is only not seeing popularity right now because of how broken lethality has been).
Likewise, someone like 
builds , but if anything he really doesn't need base armor buffs as compensation. He already builds these items because his base stats already scale so well that he doesn't need more offense after 
and can still outdamage most ADCs. He's not OP, but base stat buffs to these melee AD carries (who already have among the best scaling in the game) is a dangerous area to go in to...
