Omnistone granting Hail of Blades makes it a bad keystone for potential ranged AP users.

If you're ranged AP, you absolutely do not want this Hail of Blades outside of potentially Karma (mantra CD) Kaisa Kayle Kennen KogMaw Neeko Nami Lulu Orianna Teemo Sona TwistedFate Azir

This may seem like a good amount of users, but the truth is that all of them have much better choices than Omnistone. Certain avoidable (on Riot's part) Keystones that give absolutely no benefit prevent many potential users of the rune from ever being viable with it.

Start looking into these edge-cases of the rune and add a 'floor' for additional AS/AD if you hit a certain AP threshold, that way you only ever get the keystone if you'll actually make use of it. Early game would likely be excluded from this minimum requirement, as not enough AP would be built by this time.

This Keystone is going to go completely unused outside of a select few ranged champions if you can get effectively useless options out of it with its 8 second minimum ranged CD.

Honestly, who would even run with that Keystone?

In normal matches, when you want to have fun, sure. But on rankeds? That's too much of a gamble.

I mean, i will try it out in normals, but the results are so unpredictable, that i might get screwed over from using it.

That's what I'm saying.

There are already very limited potential users of the Keystone, the main one being Mundo.

Basically restricting the keystone from the majority of ranged AP just because you could get Hail of Blades for a teamfight and not have a keystone for 8 seconds is really stupid.

I mean Diana could potentially run it. Alot of the keystones are good for her and being able to swap around to one for a specific instance would be fun. Top lane leona could probably use it as well, besides maybe Aery and dark harvest.

Besides them as maybes... I cant really think of anyone else who would be able to use ALL the keystones to some level.

Tried it on Diana. Was catastrophic. I got Phase Rush, and was just stuck on it for so long because of how well the Orianna was kiting. Basically, if she just didn't get into melee range, I wouldn't be able to proc Phase Rush, hence wouldn't be able to swap.

Then a fight started at scuttle. I didn't have Electrocute, so the kill on the enemy jungler took too long to happen.

I think after Diana gets her rework and they swap her E with her R, then she'll be able to run Omni. But tbh, I think Omni is rather made for champions that go for short trades. Diana is more about doing a big all in and destroying the person in a huge burst. Hence she just depends on Electrocute way too much. If her rework pushes her on the side of short traders then maybe it'll work for her, but right now, it just doesn't.

However, it does mean that Diana with Omnistone may work if she's against a melee champ, that way she wouldn't be stuck on a Phase Rush keystone. But even then, I'm not sure about all this.

I tried Gnar, worked pretty well. Fiora, I'll try tomorrow.

I use hail of blades on Bard and it works great. I Play a tanky bard so electrocute by the mid game (~15min) it is not a strong as hitting peeps with three fast meeps.

As for the new keystone I think i might try it on him. It fits the theme for how i play bard. Constantly moving around the lane using the walls to flank and catch the opponent off guard with my tunnel. This keystone might be able to add to that chaos, but we will see.

That's kindof the point of the keystone. It can be super good if you can utilize everything well. Otherwise it's not as useful as just consistency

Tbh, I think there's a good chance Omnistone will be bad on all ranged users, since the cooldown is pretty high.

Like another person said, Fiora might do really well with it though.

I'll try it tomorrow and see if it works out.

Tyler just used it on draven and it wasn't that bad. Most of the problems was because he didn't exactly knew how it works and his thresh was passive. But once he understood it he got crazy kills with it.

WoonStruck1 votes

Pretty sure T1 would get kills no matter what keystone he used.

Fuhrer Usagi1 votes

Well he tried use conq and was getting messed up and killed. Plus he himself said he actually liked the keystone and it wasn't as bad as Conq when comparing it to PTA.

I3Iame1 votes

Well Conq does require one to scale and make an extended trade. Wheares if omni gives you, comet (poke), aery (poke), into electrocute (burst one shot), you're just kinda gonna steamroll the dude x)
