I think the Elemental Drakes, while a good bit of variety, honestly were a mistake.
The advantages they give are extremely snowbally. Instead of just a gold lead, they give actual permanent stacks.
They are a giant fuck you to comebacks in general, even if you wait it out they still win because higher stats.
They also make it easier to get your team more dragons. Snowballing further. Especially when you realize how early one can get drag.
I've seen Warwick take drag at level 2 no backing. I've done level 2 drag as Warwick. I regularly get it at level 3 as Nunu, and thats after fucking over the enemy jungler by taking one if his buffs.
Fire - you can finish it quicker than the enemy.
Wind - You can get there quicker to either get it or take it from the enemy.
Ocean - You survive teamfights and dont need to back to take it.
Earth - You have much higher pressure forcing them to pick drag or towers.
One of the most common complaints is that games are to snowbally. And I think the elemental drakes are a huge contributor to that drawback.
I'm not saying they're all bad, they add variety and spice up builds. But dragons and obejectives in general should be temporary gains, not permanent ones.
