I know Sylas isn't OP overall but what the actual fuck is that healing?

I just ignited one a bit ago ago and he just presses W and still gets half his health bar back. Is this the same design team that was calling healing anti-fun when the Soraka rework dropped?

It sure was fun laning as tf against him. He misses q e autoes me 2 times and hits a w. I'm at 1/3 hp and he's 2/3 after missing all but a targeted spell. His w shouldn't also be an execute if he's going to get a massive heal on it as well. Put the execute on his q if he has to have it.

Self-healing for a melee bruiser is not the same as ally healing for potentially anyone. Soraka's issues are totally different…

Warwick my healing is OP! Sylas hold my beer

Sylas healing is cancer and could use some adjustments? Better nerf akali [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]

The healing is really lame, especially given its a point and click, and he has a self shield?.

A point and click healing + a self shield- that's annoying to trade around.

But yeah, he's not too op at all, I'd just rather he lost the heal. Give him a better Shield, more HP, a little better CC. I can live with stuff like that, but a point and click heal is all on Sylas' agency and punishes you for hurting him. Old Irelia was a bad champ that was remade for a reason.

Funny enough, it isn't! RiotMorello was the Lead Champion Designer that said healing is anti-fun, and he is no longer in that role.

I gave a suggestion to turn the heal portion of Sylas's W scale with bonus HP along with the shield on his E. This way Sylas would need to carefully balance his build between damage, survivability, and mana more so then he does currently. This way just building something like a Ludens echo would get him mana and damage but his heal and shield would be lacking... ensuring he will die just as quickly as he can kill. Building something like a proto belt would give him a better heal with some dmg a bit earlier mind you but he wont be able to stick around thanks to needing mana. The best way to get all these would be a rod of ages, and that ensures he wont be such an issue for the 5 or so minutes it takes to start getting efficient. Point being he would need to decide what's more important early on and perhaps they could even adjust him to be stronger overall for it. Sadly that post fell into disinterest either way.

I think that Riot will start to even out Sylas, he is still fairly new and Riots in house balance testing has never been good.

For starters, I think that they should pick if he is going to have either A. strong damage or B. strong sustain/mitigation. Because atm he excels in both. He has a very strong shield with 90%AP scaling and a second cast which deals ok damage. His W can be both an execute nuke (180 +55%AP or 270+82.5% if below 40%) and a huge self heal (190+35%AP or 285+52.5%AP if he is below 40%)

Large heals + large shields + large damage tend to make the champ problematic, as every time you think you have them, they mitigate you burst and heal back to full while chunking you. For me personally, I'd like to see power taken from W+E and added to his Q

Yeah he is another mid laner with a great heal move in his kit. Akali had her's removed tbh Sylas should have his removed too if that's gonna be the case.

Isnt it amazing how scaling sustain works?

Maybe you should take a nice long look at other scaling sustain. Like Fiora. And Riven. And maybe even good old warwick. And lifesteal.

I think the bigger issue is how his kit interacts with the ults he steals. He can already be hard to kill on his own, but when he steals a sustain-oriented ult he literally becomes a raid boss.

DrMundo Trundle When he steals their ults he becomes unkillable. He's already more mobile than they are, and does a lot more damage.

Since I play a lot of Trundle he often steals my ult when I play against him. He then gains more in-combat sustain than me while also being more mobile and having higher damage. I'm basically punished for picking a champion with a sustain ult. With Mundo it's even worse, especially if Sylas goes tanky with IBG and Abyssal.
