Whenever I play Nasus
I feel like I'm playing a strong laning champion with garbage lategame.
Really. My sustain and early armor/5 pots purchase makes me farm through pretty much every lane. If I die, it's always to ganks or a stupid mistake of mine. Ofc I scale well in terms of duelling potential and I can splitpush. But I've played against a bunch of teamfight comps (random recent example :
)
and it was hilarious how useless I was. Kited, melted, unable to protect my backline and unable to dive the opposing backline. Freefarm lane didn't have any impact.
PS : I am a diamond nasus main with over 2k games on it. I hope you don't use the experience argument or 'you suck with this champ'.
I don't think Nasus is that bad tbh. I feel like there's a crazy powercreep in mobility, damage and kite CC (by that I mean short range CC that's far more effective at shutting down melee champions), while Nasus pretty much stayed the same.
If there's a rework on Nasus someday, I'd like to put an emphasis on his lategame potential. I actually wouldn't care if he was totally unviable in lane, Nasus design would be to be crazy good in lategame, not a random bruiser with garbage teamfighting. The whole concept behind playing Nasus, and what we want when playing that champion is to have a challenging lane, rewarded with good scaling, and not needing to be a dick and splitpush all game to be relevant.
Also, random question : Why on earth did Riot think it would be a good idea to nerf Frozen Heart in league of black cleavers in toplane?
