Give me advice how to improve my skills

I'm stuck in bronze since forever, constantly moving back and forth between b2 and b3. I get a few good games, then a few trollers/afk people and everything goes down the drain again.

I just don't know how to get out, how to improve.

by not focusing on the trollers afks there is a higher chance of trolls and afks to be on the enemy team once you realize that your teams aren't holding you back (because statistics work like that) as long as you play the best you can and you avoid repeating mistakes over and over (ie learn as you go) you will climb

You can't deny some players hold you back. I it's good to ignore them but sometimes when someone isn't doing anything they are an anchor. But these types of players are not swarming the Rift as most believe.

no i can fully deny it because 4 people can hold you back 5 people can boost you up

What mechanics do you think your weak with?

Find a champion who requires you to use that mechanic.

Go to normal play that champion a lot until your winning consistently/having a good impact on matches.

Vision is a really important part of the game.

People make most their "Tier Lists" with the assumption that who ever playing it is pretty high skill. Often times its better to play things that are more reliable when your new/lower skill because that lowers the # of feast or famine games where your big impact or 0. winning 1 sidedly because you did well...but losing 4 games cuz your just doing meh is gonna sink you not help ya climb.

A good amount of this game is knowalge. Knowing items, champions. Personally I used Free week and played every champion whos kit I did not know a basic understanding of Passive qwer. If you can accomplish this by reading then hey more power to you just use the wiki and save hours and hours of time,

I needed to get a feel for it to the point I can play off muscle memory. I also had to get used to working as a teammate rather then treating the game like a 1v5.

End of the day the way I see it there are 2 main ways to improve your rank. Up the frequency of your good games and increase your micro. And to Lower the frequency of your bad games and up your Macro.

Good micro will win you lanes. good macro will keep you relevant if you lose lane or get dicked by camp or what ever.

Doing the right play in theory... despite it not being realistic for a match is such a common mistake. I did X which was the right play but because of Y it was not. Typically Y is a teammate.

best way to improve is to acquire knowledge on the game. you can apply it later when it crystallizes for you, but first acquire the knowledge. also, theorycraft, not alone where your ideas are unmoderated and not with people of your rank or below cause you don't learn anything with the blind leading the blind. also take streamers with a pinch of salt because they are viewing balance from their own specialised POV be it for their role or champion for otp's, unless they are hyper fluid with their role selection like a scarra i suppose.

how do minions work? what do i even mean by how do minions work?

what are mechanics in the context of league? could you explain it to me? it would go a long way to simply brute forcing your way out of bronze to understand what exactly is a "mechanixxx" in it's most raw form.

power spikes? those are quite useful to know about.

what different types of skillshots are there in the game?

what's a win condition?

you can't think about these things intuitively in a game without the prerequisite knowledge required to grapple with them, yet alone the map as a whole and all it's foibles, but at least everyone get's wards for free now so that bit of economic consideration when backing isn't really a thing anymore.

While looking at your History - i see you main Velkoz in the role of support. Playing Vel' support is definitely not an issue (imo). I play it as well in that role once in awhile - and i find it quite efficient for this role (even better than mid - cause it's easy to counter mid lane). Like having a 2nd APC in your team - which can definitely advantage your team in terms of offensive (if enemy went for a defensive champ). The main downside - which might be what's holding you back: you main support... Which, unfortunately - it's least efficient role to climb out of bronze... Since, a support counts on its team more than any other role - and many bronze players are still beginners (so there's high chance to get beginners in your team). Might help if you learn other role, like... Top lane. That's usually better for getting out of bronze.

Somethings that helped me: 1.find guides and videos about the role I wanted to main. 2.look up general guides and videos how to Play from behind, when ahead, etc. Macro play. 3. Mute others if chat is becoming a distraction. Don’t get fomo (fear of missing out) with chat. 4. Realize in the end it’s you playing the game not your teammates so look at ways you can improve. Trolls, afkers and just people having a bad match will happen. 5. Be ok with losing.

I’m not high elo but I was bronze at the end of season 7. Went silver and danced around there in season 8. Started high bronze this season and currently sitting at gold 3 and working towards plat. I got a full time job, a wife and a kid on the way so it definitely isn’t a time thing. Just gotta make the most of your games.
