@riot: can we give garen the ashe treatment?

and turn crit chance and crit damage into a multiplier that increases the total damage on his spells, instead of applying randomly?

his spin shouldnt be problem, since it applies a lot of small damage ticks that can individually crit, which kindof evens the damage out even with smaller crit %.

but im mainly talking about decisive strike here. i think evening out the bonus he gets from critical strike chance, instead of having to pray to rngesus that his q crits and chunks a squishy for half his health would be overall nice change.

(and have his spin fully profit from the crit bonus instead of half of it while were at it, would be nice aswell.)

this shouldnt change much about his overall power. just make his damage a bit more predictable and easier to work with.

and will help for not just garen but anyone else that makes you cringe when they crit. some champs with 15% crit can crit more than those with 40% crit which can determine the fate of an important trade. This would give champions that invest less into crit chance less burst potential and instead give them more steady damage, this is not the say less damage by any means, just gives you a better gauge of their damage potential / time to react.

this is not what im talking about. his auto attacks would still randomly crit as normal.

im just saying if your only crit item in your inventory is a ghostblade, the stat is difficult to work with when it comes to his q. you cant really rely on it.

im just asking to use the same (or similar) formula theyre using for ashes passive, for garens spells to even out the bonus damage he gets from crit.

what you posted is basically an overhaul of the stat itself.

while id like to see a general change to crit, this wouldnt be as easy to do as what ive proposed. and by the way, i would like to see the randomness removed, but critical strikes generally stay the same.

his auto attacks would still randomly crit as normal.

there would be a stacking system so it wouldn't be random First auto is 33.33% chance to crit. If it doesn't crit then you get 1 stack, your third hit crits. If it does crit on your opening auto then your next auto will begin to gain stacks/takes 3 more hits to crit again (4th auto). plus two more autos then crit plus two more than crit, just like udyr's phoenix. Whats nice is that itll elliminate getting back to back crits. if you are out of battle for say 5 seconds the sequence ends.

i would like to see the randomness removed, but critical strikes generally stay the same.

ashe crits did the opposite of stay the same, as they were completely flatten.

this would give you that as it doesn't outright change crits that much only a bit, but offers more reliability. as opposed to rng

it essentially does what they did to ashe but only 1/3rd of it, since 3 hits is a good sweet spot to play around as witness by jax, ekko, and udyr's phoenix.

i know this is weird timing with the discussions about the jungle changes going on, but here it is.

who do i have to summon? meddler? scarizard?

dafuq is wrong with the butthurt downvotes? you people realize that this is neither a buff nor nerf. just a change to the way his existing crit scaling is applied to his spells.

the only thing that concerns me really is, how the loss of the potential burst from a q crit might affect him. theoretically critting a squishy with decisive strike right now wins a game by lategame, since the probability of killing the target off a decisive strike crit is much higher.

on the other hand if its not critting, it can easily mean that my opponent lives.

on paper it shouldnt make a difference. and helps to know what to expect damage wise.

any comment? i mean its not top priority, but basically a quality of life change.
