Why isn't Zhonya's allowed to be one of the "big AP" items?

This item is complete sh*t in it's current state. It barely gives any AP and the active cooldown is WAY too long. Buff Zhonyas please.

It was before - when it's a high ticket AP item, every mage -has- to buy it, like old Rylai's.

It's still a good defensive buy though. But that's what it's made for. DEFENSE.

It's still bad right now. I'd rather buy a GA or something else than Zhonyas. It's only an option when going against Zed right now.

Meanwhile Hexdrinker, a component, is a failproof buy when going against mages.

I sincerely hope you didn't post this without researching why it's not a high ap item anymore.

If you didn't look it up (as I suspect) please know that it was needed to its current state due to it being one of the best defensive and offensive items.
