Serious question. I have literally found no champ that can reliably trade with her. She simply deals too much damage even if you manage to dodge her E. She can spam tentacles pretty much anywhere and everywhere. If she ults, you have to flash out. E can be dodged 9/10 times, but the moment she hits you'll lose a ton of HP and force you out of lane.

Dodge them like you would a boss's attacks.
Counterattack. Especially if you can get her to go oom trying to hit you.
For someone who can go toe to toe with her I suggest Renekton.

Penns2 votesBosses often have a big wind up time, even in "really hard" games like Dark Souls. Illaoi Q kind of does, but in these games youre good by pressing 1 button (rolling/blocking for example). In League you have to react, click away and wait for your champ to actually move out of the mostly too forgiving hitboxes. Imo most skillshots that arent Nidalee spear from 1500 units away arent actually "dodged" in this game, they are missed. Unless you have like Flash or Fizz E but thats not reliable counterplay.

I hate Illaoi because she can feed all game, but she will 1) still be hard to fight straight up and 2) in that one jungle fight where she flashes into your team or that one late game fight where she does the same, there is just not a lot of time to react and she does damage.. a lot of damage. But at least she cant abuse cotc.

Well, I didn't do that and he said "like" not that they are same and identical in every way.
If we must continue this comparison: Other champions aren't modern single player bosses who are designed to lose, they are like old bosses who are designed to win if you don't play it right.

No, she cannot spam tentacles everywhere/anywhere. Kill her tentacles that spawn from her passive.
If she ults without E'ing someone first in a 1v1, you can just beat the shit out of her.
If she does E you, just punish her and hit her back to reduce the time it's out.
Get armor if you can't.

Oglaf1 votesShe's significantly weaker outside of early laning phase due to her reliance on her tentacles - she's at her strongest here because she will build up a little "base" of tentacles around the lane.
If you catch her roaming without her Ultimate, it is pretty much a free kill.

But at the same time it's not exactly hard to just run away for 10 seconds while that's going on and come back. If you can manage to avoid her ult, then a lot of champions can fight her. A tanky trundle for example should be able to go toe to toe with her. A couple of AP champs should punish her pretty hard. Malz with his silence and his suppress should chunk her down pretty well. A good fiddlesticks should outplay her easily I would imagine.
