why deathfire touch dont work with ezreals Q?

So i was playing ARAM and i get ezreal so i took deathfire touch to test it but i notice that it never proc the mastery to nobody!!

So why is that happen? it is a bug or its supposed to happen?

Ez's Q doesn't apply on-spell effects.

Ezreal's Q counts as an AA for on hit purposes, so that my be why.

I noticed this a while ago, and came to the conclusion that an Ezreal Q is just an empowered auto attack. Personally, i work around it by using W first then Q in very quick succession with a triforce for ad and lichbane for ap. but then again, in my opinion, Ezreal is real EZ. In ARAM its even worse. You aren't winning an ARAM with Ezreal? You're not doing it right. but thats besides the point [slayer-pantheon-rainbows]
