why do certain assasins have utility?

I thought utility was part of a mages kit. Why does leblanc have 2 snares and ekko have an aoe stun? even yasuo gets hard cc. gg.

Tanks have utility. ADCs have utility. Mages have utility. Bruisers have utility. Supports have utility.

Why wouldn't assassins have utility?

Assassin utility is generally intended to help facilitate kills.

Assassins need to be self-reliant to secure kills, they don't have a support wandering at their side like a marksmen does. Assassins need to be able to carry their own weight for hindering an enemy long enough to guarantee their doom.

So CC is a thing for them.

same reason why utility mage have damage,wave clear,burst,early game bully, late game carry,insta stun

technically yas is more of a bruiser/melee adc instead of an assassin, also lb and ekko are both mages and assassins
