hexdrinker is the most fucking broken item in this fucking game and its been overpowered since the very START of season 6. Look how many people buy it. Know why? because its overpowered as fuck. for 1300 gold you can counter a champion. Meanwhile theres nothing you can build to counter them as an ap champion. RIot wake the fuck up.

Sona x Rubick1 votesidk, masteries gives either 8% magic pene, or 3+0.3 per lvl, standart runes gives 8 magic pene or more. gives 15 magic pene.
this alone reduces the resistance by a lot, but you don't need to get 35 mr pene, you just need to continue to poke the laner down.

You are right and I am going to add this on top. I'd be willing to bet that 9 out of 10 people who bitch it's OP are the same ones who go all in and after they are dead suddenly realize why when they finally look at the build that beat them instead of looking before they went all in in the first place. Gamers today are funny like that. It's never their own damn fault.

Unpaladin2 votesIt's more of an issue now because of how they added Penetration to it. It used to be such an odd item to complete before, and that made the component quite a honorable thing to fight against. Now that it's got Penetration (which is stupendously powerful early on for those who take this item) it's taken almost every time they are against a mage. I'm surprised nothing has been done about this, but I guess Riot is fine with players taking the same thing just about every time in lane.

BakedLotion1 votesIt's unfair how AD champs can buy an item that completely negates burst and provides insane amounts of stats for 1300 gold while mages get nothing to negate AD burst.
Don't even mention seekers cause that shit is near useless against AD burst because they all rush armor pen and mages don't have that option. And it doesn't give some bullshit shield
