please let us look into teammates match history while in champ select.

just had to take an lp loss, because one of my teammates picked taliyah. if i had known that would happen, i would have banned her out.

i thought by now everyone knew how shitty that champion is. and if you dont, you havent played her yet and have no business picking her into a ranked game.

at least playing against swain, there would have been a chance of winning.

and before someone comments, "ermerger you dont know what will happen!". i looked into the guy afterwards and he could end world hunger with his last 5 games.

The potential toxicity that could come out of such a feature is something I do not want to see at all.

i dont know. is it as bad, as people picking champions they have played 3 or 4 times, and fed a combined 70 kills with in those games?

i dont understand why people have to be asshats and cant just take that shit into a normal.

in the end its the players that actually take ranked seriously who have to take the hit. the guy doesnt give a shit. he just ques up for another game and forces the next guy to lose lp for a dodge, or his entire team for losing them a game.

It's a game.

ranked is serious. if you want to fuck around take it into normals.

why are you quing up for ranked, if you dont care about rank?

I was just telling you for your own good. No one in this game owes you their playstyle. They can choose however they want. There's no rule against that.

thats the problem. there should be rules against picking champs youve never played or when you consistently are abysmal with them.

im not just talking about a small loss streak, but someone whos obviously actually terrible with a champ in a certain % of their games should actually be locked out of ranked games with that champion for a certain number of wins in normals.

and champions shouldnt be available for ranked games unless you have a certain mastery score with them. this doesnt guarantee that youre good with them, but at least guarantees you have touched that champ in normals a couple of times.

i dont understand why someone is allowed to consistently ruin other peoples games like this.

I agree with FlamingEnemy13, the potential for toxicity is something that would make this idea terrible.

For instance, someone sees i want to play Taliyah support (which i play) and decides they want to take a peak at my match histort. He sees that I have a winning streak and then a losing streak. Then decides he doesn't want someone like me play support for him and starts flaming me.

Do you see the problem?

dude, we can look people up already on third party sites. this just makes it easier.

and i wouldnt want anyone play talyah in any position at the moment.

look at this. shes literally the lowest winrate champion in every role but adc, including support.

I've yet to lose a match as Taliyah support.

which i could see in your match history, and based on that information i wouldnt ban her out from you.

problem is some people have ridiculous names with weird accents built in. you cant type it all in time and check until its your draw or ban.

it would definitely make it easier if we could right click and check match history.

Riot doesn't even want you to know the mmr/Elo or premade status of other players, they arent going to encourage this sort of thing either

How can you ever get better at anything if you never get to do it you have to practice. Sure you can practice in normals buts its not the same

Critmaster Garen1 votes

Sure you can practice in normals.

actually it is. at least in normal draft.

every game mode has its own mmr. if youre playing normals a lot, and winning a lot, youre going to end up at similar mmr as your ranked games. even if its not entirely the same it still gives you a fucking basic idea how to use a champions kit, and if you can even handle it.

if you already suck with the champion in a non competitive environment, youre definitely going to suck with him in ranked games.

ranked is not a playground to test new champions.

You're not suppose to practice in Ranked, you're suppose to perform.

Sounds like an easy way to send everyone on your team to tilts-ville 3 minutes before the game starts

ok, so if you were in my position, you would have been fine with the guy picking a champion he absolutely fed out of his ass with the 4 games he played with her?

a champion, mind you whos obviously so far underpowered that no one is getting a good winrate on her at the moment?

i could overlook the second part if the guy had a good track record on her. but he absolutely sucked dick for the 4 games he played her.

The point of champ select is not to ban out your teammates. It might be a viable strategy 1/10 games, but the other 9 will only serve to make you and your teammates salty which will probably cause you to lose anyway.

you didnt answer my question.

ThugWalrus1 votes

The answer to your question is no I would not have been fine with him picking that champ had I known all the info. The REAL answer to your question is that your 1-game of an unfortunate champ selection does not justify the implementation of an entirely new system that would ultimately increase levels of toxicity in champ select and would be overall detrimental to the game. So do you want the pandering answer that feeds into your victim complex, or do you want the real answer that actually has nuance and utilizes a proper cost-benefit analysis?

what makes you think this happens only once?

think about it. i dodged that game. do you think hes gonna act differently in the next champ select? and the next and the next?
