Sona (A Rant and Suggestion)

Sona feels very strong. She scales damage and heals off the same thing (AP) and gives bonuses to her entire team. Lately, although I don't play much bot myself, the bot lanes I've been playing with get wrecked by any adc with Sona as a support. I watch as Sona hits one button (doesn't even have to click a champ) and sends out massive damage to two champs at once, then heal her adc with another press of a button a second later. Literally the most no-skill champ you can play.

But I digress my rant. What I'm getting at here, is a simple nerf. Scale her Q with AD instead of AP. You have to then choose if you want to be an actual support or not. She's just ridiculous right now.

A more complex nerf, or even an entire rework wouldn't hurt either. Being near champs and pressing single buttons takes no skill and is toxic. Unfortunately, with the amount of skins she gets I doubt much will be done about her. She's loved by many.

She's a piece of paper when it comes to tankiness. She absolutely melts. Her heal is decent, but nothing special. She is meant to be a damage support, much like Annie, Zyra, or Brand.

The actual Q doesn't chunk. It's her passive and auto combined, perhaps with a lichbane as well. all of her kit's power is loaded into that Q. Without it, she's just a mediocre heal bot with a slight MS increase and an aoe stun once and a while.

So...ADC sona? She's a very damage-packed support, yes, but she's MAJORLY countered by hard engages.

Sona isn't too big of an issue. What you just described sounds like Sona wasn't actually building very well as a support and was instead building more as a mage. If Sona goes full support build with the knife and sightstone, she can't really murder people as effectively as her scaling on her Q is dismal without some big ticket AP items in her pockets. If she is building to deal damage, chances are she isn't building to provide sight so her lane is easily gankable, which is an opportunity you need to take advantage of early if you notice that's how she's building.

Yeah, sona is a good carry support, but if you just hard engage early- especially a level 2 all in on her... shes dead ez. However if you let her get past level 3 it become a little more difficult in lane.

Shes also very strong because of the heal mastery, the added defensive buff is pretty big.

Mostly its about the matchup.
