Darius Decimate (Q) handle hit damage lowered to 35% from 50%

TBH this isnt a big nerf his handle damage dosent do any damage at all but still nerfing a champion that win rate jumped up by 3% because of keystone?? (CoC)

as a darius main i don't mind this nerf because it increases darius skillcap

i do mind this nerf though because: -coc is being nerfed -it makes darius more garbage against mobile melees, while still oppressing against immobile melees

Personally I like it because I always felt I wasn't be rewarded for dodging his Q by getting close to him. In all honesty I think it is better for immobile melee than mobile ones because Mobile champs can usually get all the way away while immobile ones are the ones who try to move close to dodge the damage.

In regards to that I like this change, although if the CotC nerfs hurt him too bad I wouldn't mind an overall Q damage buff, so he still does (and feels like he does) substantially less damage to those who move in close to dodge Q.

you stopped him from healing and you took half damage, that isn't reward enough?

Yes I am rewarded, but it still does a lot of damage regardless so I don't feel like I am being rewarded. Especially since moving closer means he gets 1-2 extra auto attacks on you, which can be enough to proc passive. What it feels like it picking between two crappy situations, especially when it was implemented as "counterplay" and the only counterplay I feel when given the option of run and take full Q damage or stay close and take half damage + autos is the ability to counterplay myself.

Lowering the damage further helps establish that it is unconditionally a better option if you can't escape, while before it was always questionable as to which would have been the better choice. Also note that it isn't raising or lowering anyone's skillcap, it is rewarding each side for doing their best to do what they should be doing rather than rewarding darius whichever the outcome.

In the end it comes down to being unsure as to which is the better option, and the damage taken ends up pretty similar either way, especially if those extra autos proc his passive. It changes it from being "Moving better is probably the better option but I don't know for sure" to "If Darius uses Q and I can't get out try to move closer." It clears up confusion as to which the better option is half dmg + autos or full damage. As I also said I am not against him getting compensation buffs because I don't think he necessarily needs a nerf, his counterplay just needs to feel like you are actually counterplaying him.

I like this change. Before, while it was huge to make Darius miss his Q by getting close to him, YOU WERE STILL GETTING CLOSE TO DARIUS. However, now it might just be worth it.

To my mind, I believe that nerf is really good for those who play Darius, because this nerf is gonna make them more focused in getting their Q correctly . This nerf acts like a deterrent not to missQ again or be aware of those who can Dodge it or go in the Q
