Riot can we like, change something about LP gain/loss?
If my bot feeds and goes 0/10 before 10 minutes, my mid is 1/4 by the same time, and I'm 3/0 top, I don't think it's my fault we lose. If I get an S-/S/S+ can I get a loss forgiven or something?

Loss will never ever be forgiven, though I do think LP gain/loss should depend on how well you do, just that the ranking system isn't balanced
see then you get people getting first blood, two towers and then if it looks like a loss just CS'ing and running from fights, the system thinks you gone dun good and makes you lose less, when in actual fact because said player refused to ''play'' split and properly try to pressure and win, he gets a medal for being a douche bag.
the ranking system is fine the more you win the more you gain the more you lose the more you lose. nothing wrong with the system, the placements however are another story.
Except it needs some forgiveness for Inters and AFK.
someone posted a 0/20 Alistar down mid yesterday. He wasn't even complaining about the LP loss. But that is a dumb reason to lose LP.
Why does it matter whose fault it is if you lost or not. If you ended up losing then I can guarantee you that you could have done something better. That's not to say that it would have help you won that game you lost but overall you will see improvement if you focus on your own game play.
I rotated, gave my team kills after I got 13, tanked Lucian ult for my team, peeled for my adc, used my reset as Darius for multi-kills, warded, and used tp for towers. What else can I do? I got an S-, by Riot's own account I did above average.
Are you joking?
Listing off what you did in a game almost carries no meaning whatsoever, to the point where I can't see any player justifying how well they played a game by listing off what they did.
I can list the same bullshit fake or not, in a game I ended up feeding and twist it on my part to sound good.
If you think that after you listed what you accomplished that game, that's the end of League of legends and you did all you could. You're horribly mistaken. The grading system itself can be manipulated and doesn't accurately reflect a player's ability to influence the game. After all it's mere statistics compared to what you actually did in the game.
Imagine the scenario in which two teams are neck and neck in the late game 45+ minutes. The fight begins and Team A gets a solid initiate onto team B and begin destroying them, Team B's ADC kites back and nearly saves the fight but a skill shot comes out they may have ended up CCing the ADC and granting the victory to Team A. However what happens is you flash into the skill shot blocking it for your ADC and by a miracle you end up pulling the win, all because you blocked the skill shot. Does an S grade factor that in?
There are so many factors and variables to take account to in League that there's almost always another decision you could have made, another play you could have started, another option you never considered. The variables are constantly changing and to that end, don't ever ask what else you can do, because there's almost always something else you can do.
S doesn't take in HALF of what I said and you listed it LOL I TANKED AN ULT FOR MY ADC AND THEN USED MY E TO PULL EVERYONE OFF OF HIM. Gave up kills so my team could get more gold, rotated, used tp to defend. S doesn't count half of what I did, only my farm and KDA. You asked what I could have done better, and so far the only thing I could have done is dodged/not queue'd up.
The example in which I posted was meant for a different purpose than what you used listed for.
Mine was to prove exactly how useless an S grade might be when you were using the S grade as some sort of buffer to justify your own play.
You asked what I could have done better, and so far the only thing I could have done is dodged/not queue'd up.
So does this statement imply that you played to the absolute best? If not, then there was something else you could've done. Whether or not you choose to see it is entirely up to you as a player. But if you think that in a gold game you played your very best, took all the opportunities and made the right decisions in every aspect of the game, then I really don't know what to say. You must be challenger then already in that case right? Must be your teammates holding you back.
You fail.
if you think that in a gold game you played YOUR very best
I can play my very best, but if my best is gold then it isn't an insult to be in gold. He isn't claiming he is a god or anything
I never implied that he said anything of that sort.
What he's saying is that can't see what else he could have done better, have you never heard that from a player before? It's always an exaggeration stemming from the feeling that they played well and lost solely because of teammates. What I'm arguing is that it doesn't matter whose fault it is that you ending up losing. The important thing is to keep the focus on yourself. Whether there was a feeder in your game that inted or your team ending up throwing 50 minutes into the game. Why does any of that matter, why does worrying about that matter when all you really can influence is your own impact on the game.
Yes you can play your very best and if it just so happens to be that your current abilities only equalize to that of a gold player then so be it. But that's different from what I'm saying, I already acknowledge that players can hit this wall and thus ask the question, "What else could I have done". That question in itself is entirely different from your implication that I'm asking him to play better than his maximum ability allows.
"What else could I have done" is a question that to me at least seems to ask the same thing as "how can I improve to see opportunities that I did not before".
If my bot feeds and goes 0/10 before 10 minutes, my mid is 1/4 by the same time, and I'm 3/0 top, I don't think it's my fault we lose. If I get an S-/S/S+ can I get a loss forgiven or something?
If we take the original statement he never said that his team was intentionally feeding. Int and intentionally trolling a game to influence a loss is an entirely separate matter from the generic "bad" games that we all have.
We all have that bot lane that gets stomped early on in the game and the game may be decided from there. True, you have may have no impact on the game up that point and therefore the blame lies solely in your bot lane. But why ask for a loss forgiven when everyone gets this bot lane at some point. If feels ridiculous to get a free pass because your teammates underperformed. It's a team game, all players should be punished equally and rewarded equally depending on the outcome of the match as long as the members of a team play appropriately. Why do you feel that they should be justified to play better or as well as you do? If you think because you played the statistical game to get an S grade in a game then you should be given a free pass accordingly, then almost every game where someone has a bad game or underperforms will be a loss forgiven for someone else.
Because you just spent 50 minutes and lost is why it is important.
My problem is with people who just say generic statements "focus on yourself."
Then you can keep wasting your time complaining about how your teammates lost you the game and spend 50 hours on a game and not improve in the slightest because you spent all your time worrying about stuff you can't influence.
My problem is with people who refuse to see just how much time they're wasting about stupid shit like that instead of putting their time into actually improving.
People who want to vent want to vent. You said your statement, he clearly wants to vent, so just let him vent. You aren't proving you are a better person or a superior person. You aren't helping him. You are just creating conflict and getting your own good feelings off.
You're right, I said want I wanted to say and then you attacked me, creating conflict, instead of having an actual discussion about the implications of my statement.
I responded simply by explaining the differences between what you thought and want I intended.
The conflict we're having now is not related or directed to OP but rather to you. Just because something is important doesn't mean you should waste time worrying about it especially when it's something you have no control over.
You said it yourself you have a problem with my generic statements and I have a problem with your mindset and OP's.
Don't assume to understand the reasons behind my actions. You don't know me in the slightest and yet you say that I'm not proving to be a better or superior person as if that carries the intention that I did intend to prove that in the first place.
So let me ask you, is it a good use of time to spend time complaining about teammates in solo Q that played poorly since you claim that it's important because you spent 50 minutes on a game and lost because of those teammates.
Because if you have an inter or an afk, it is really upsetting for Riot to give you the loss and lose the LP. Because the "balanced" game was unbalanced from a certain point due to someone else.
Not complaining about poor games. But literal inting and afking are terrible.
