Has Taric just fallen out of the game or is it just me?

Looking over the boards today, I noticed one mentioning Taric and then the thought occurred to me: I've not played against a single Taric for as long as I can remember. Why is it that he's disappeared off the face of the game for me? I mean, he has arguably one of the most powerful ults in the game if timed correctly and can stun multiple people as well. So why is it that League's Fabio man has just disappeared? Do people really just not like him since the rework? (Cause if that's the case then I could completely understand)

Melee supports get poked out very easily and are weaker because of it. Taric is also only really good late game and since games really don't go late he's not worth picking really. Although I play him do alright, I've been struggling lately.

hes forced to be support, old taric could be support or top or even jungle.

his mana costs are wack, his heals are garbage

personally i dont like the rework, you have to completely play him differently... he is more of a reactionary support / counter engage then go balls deep and smash. i can play him with the rework but he is best vs certain lanes and not great vs others.

i actually played him just a few games ago but only seemed to play him twice this season... i been spamming alot of naut as support as my go to of late however i am 2-0 as taric and have 5.4:1 kda

Taric's rework is the greatest thing Rito has ever done. We should all play nothing but Taric, and we should think about resting our heads upon his comforting torso in the place of a pillow each night.

I pre-fer the old Taric. He was one of the first support champions I picked up on since I like the theme he brought with heavy armored with shield and weapon. Though I'd play him more often if they release a skin to him with a classic look on him. Meaning that he is wearing his old Armour set, holding a shield and hammer. Or just the hammer since he doesn't use a shield anymore on his current model. Either way I'd be OK with it.

I think that because of his delays, lack of damaging abilities, any mobility, heals is kinda shitty, and the shield is only ok. I find him to be pretty much the most boring champion in the game as is, and for two seasons he was my favorite support (before the rework)

like i know he is "better" but he is not more fun.
