When did Nautilus support become popular?
Just wondering.
He has always been seen as a terrible pick for support, but one day BAM he becomes one of the best supports in the game.

After that amazing UoL vs Fnatic game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShNUr_g6W5Q
His mana costs getting lowered made him more reasonable - last season mages were the big supports, this season it's tanks.
I have never seen him as a terrible pick for support. A similar logic to Maokai as well (that guaranteed root is ridiculous early game)
Riot tries to buff Nautilus' Jungle. They couldn't balance him around his Titans wrath stating that it's a knifes edge, because it's a shield and a damage boost for when the shield lasts.
They instead tried boosting his Jungle by reducing his E CD and costs. focusing slightly more on it's DPS, and that consequently made him a better Support.
I'd be crazy if i said the lcs had nothing to do with him rising in popularity as a supp.
