When I ban Fizz, I get to play against Veigar.
When I ban Veigar, I get to play against Fizz.
I can't seem to get rid of one of these two. I hate these champs a lot, but are Fizz mains also Veigar mains?
It's kinda the same with Yasuo & Zed. I ban Yasuo, I get enemy Zed. I ban Zed, I get enemy Yasuo.

Serika Zero4 votesFizz is a hard counter to Veigar. So, it makes sense to play Veigar when Fizz is banned. Idk why play Fizz when Veigar is banned tho.
Velasan3 votesWell I can answer that question because I play a lot of Veigar since s4. However, my other mids are Swain and Velkoz.
If you find yourself having issues with Fizz or Veigar though they have entirely different counters. So banning out the one that is worse for you is the easiest route.
Also, there's 
Morgana or 
Malzahar. Play either one, take some MR on rune stat shards. AFK push the wave out and use your shields to block any kind of all in they do to you. Later in the game your only job is to catch them out with Q or R. Bonus points if you also build a Banshee Veil at some point in the game for double the shielding goodness.
kyoyaoaaa3 votesI used to main veif and if veig was banned I'd choose lux. Fizz is totally diff champ and I don't see any similarities between the 2. So basically they'd be leaving a comfort zone if they rly main veig. Idk how many people who enjoy and do well with mages even like melee assassins or melee anything for that matter. I do like mages enough that I enjoy supporting with the support mages too and for ADC of course I would play ezreal

You can't onetrick, but yes, you can main more than just one Champ. I main GP, Darius and Aatrox, the max Number of Champs to main at once imo.

Ideally yeah. Back a few seasons ago you had to because it was just by pick order. There was no role selection. If you were last pick you could be anywhere.
Funny now that you can select two roles people nearly have a heart attack if they get auto filled.

Troll for Trump1 votesNah, you just instalocked, threatened to int, coerced a Dodge, or asked for the role. It worked for me back then. Didn't get top or Darius? Have fun with prerework Yorick/Urgot. Actually ended up getting pretty good at those "troll" picks because of how often it happened, and now I miss em.

I mean part of it was because I was the one doing it, but did see tons of others doing it as well.
Prerework yorick won lane almost guaranteed, but that was pretty much it; he was terrible in teamfights, his pickrate was abyssmal, and, because of his oppressive playstyle, Riot made sure he was never super viable, so he was largely considered a troll pick. A more useless tahm.

Also Prerework Yorick could very easily splitpush his way to victory back in the day. It was a totlaly viable option.

Same problem across both systems though. Why should I play suboptimally, increase the risk of losing LP, and depend more on teammate RNG by giving them my main role?
Old yorick wasn't the best splitpusher. No natural waveclear, and Omen of War didn't proc on turrets, That's why people didn't go tiamat on him (manamune + triforce)

I didn't like it.
In the old days only the first person in line got to ban for 3 choices. You didn't get more bans by being duo.
Having said that, solo que shouldn't really allow duo's anymore now there is a flex que. It was never a good part of the old system and it makes zero sense you can still team up in the new system when there is a dedicated que to play with friends.

Difference is people act like autofill right now is literally the end of the world, whereas in the old system, if you werent capable of being autofilled, you just had a much harder time climbing.
It created less OTP and made more well rounded players overall.

I mean for my main role. For example I know that I can play Heca or Aatrox Jungle, GP and Kassadin Mid, Lucian or Draven ADC and Rakan, Pyke, Yuumi Support.
But I wouldn't consider them (except GP and Aatrox) my Mains. I can't play them on a LVL as I do my Top Champs.
