Why Vlad has a 65% banrate?

I don't feel that Vlad deserves this amount of banrate. He has been balanced ever since the last changes. He actually has a 46% winrate at both mid and top lane, one of the lowest winrates in the game, according to champion.gg. Winrates are not the only factor to consider when banning a champion, but consider that Vladimir is extremely vulnerable early game - champions that can outrange or all-in him give him headaches during the lane phase. Also, even after the early game, he has very little to contribute for a team outside of damage. He may buy Rylai, but many other mages can also do the same and they have better winrates. He also has a damage amplifier on his ult (essentially an AoE Deathfire Grasp that also works for physical damage).

Other than that he has nothing else to contribute for a team other than damage, so if he ever falls behind, he is useless. Yes, Vladimir has a lot of sustain, but that does not mean much when he can't do enough damage. Vladimir has higher than average tankyness for a mage, but he still isn't that tanky, and he is only tanky because he is short ranged - he has to take a lot of risks to do damage, but for some reason people don't understand that.

Also, Grievous Wounds completely cripple his sustain, but people for some reason refuse to buy item 3123 when they play AD champions against Vlad. This item do wonders against Vlad and can mean the difference between him outdueling you or you outdueling him. It can also cripple Vlad's survivability during teamfights.

Lastly, Vladimir is a lot more difficult to master than it seems. It isn't just using Q or ulting or pooling - Vladimir is difficult because most people don't understand how to survive some of his most difficult matchups such as Riven or Irelia. They also don't know how or when to trade, when to use his pool correctly, and also do not understand that stacking CDR is the most optimal build path for Vlad.

I am not saying that Vladimir is a bad champion; when played correctly he is insane and difficult to kill. He can potentially do a lot of damage in AoE and he is one of the best champions to kite bruisers, also one of the best mages to use against assassins, due to his tankyness and sustain. However, I feel like Vlad is extremely overrated and people are wasting bans on him.

Winrate doesn't show power of a champion and is also probably one of the most useless and skewed stats in the game right now. Yes more skewed than riot's graphs kappa.

Correction: Winrate alone does not tell anything, but when you combine it with other factors, yes, winrate maybe is relevant.

Because he's aids to play against. Zed is garbo but he still has a high banrate. Same for Vlad.

Vlad doesn't even need AP to do damage in lane thanks to his New Q.

people use bans on vlad because they prefer to face zed than face vlad.

because zed is more fun to play and to play against, than parasite vladimir.

He feels bad to play against.

Plus, having to build that just occupies a space that could be used for something else.
