Riot talks about valuing counterplay and doing things for game health...
While removing all counters to mobility.
That's a good joke, Riot! Louis CK better watch out.

Counterplay is actually very overrated.
Annie Support has zero direct counterplay to her stun at 6.
Why is Annie no longer played support but rather mid?
Well, its because ppl found out that if Annie support fails to snowball or falls behind then she falls off harder than a sack of rocks from a cliff since Annie has low utility and is primarily picked to be a damage threat.
The counterplay to Annie support is not dodging the stun - if you as ADC get hit by the stun while low, you've been outplayed and deserve to die and lose lane. The counterplay is strategic - force her to burn the stun on a tanky support, then go all in with your supports CDs all up which have higher base values and more utility; gank her from behind with a high damage jungler so you burst her down before she can react; poke her with high ranged poke supports like Vel'Koz, Nami, Karma, etc. and she won't even be able to touch you without risking dying for nothing.
Meanwhile, Annie mid (along with other short ranged burst mages) wrecks mobile melee assassins, but is in turn wrecked by long range siege/poke mages (who are wrecked by mobile melee assassins), and since melee assassins are in meta rigth now, Annie is a great counterpick.
Rito : I have turn all point n click to skillshot and spell with cast time !! ** players** : y u do dis ? ** Rito** : So it can be countered by a single press dash/jump button !! ** players** : but what about counter of dash/jump ? ** Rito** : you have to play thresh, and somehow in a right position to flay when leona dash onto you adc. You have to have a super good reaction though, since almost every dash is faster than anivia stun !!

also a reason why Riven and Kata is more and more freelo while being pick or ban in most regions atm......
I mean, they JUST gutted Kass, and he was the posterboy for mobility.
