Is there even a point to giving feedback on the Veigar and Morde changes?

That wasn't actually a question. We all know the answer is no and that they'll go in anyway. Feedback didn't work for the jungle changes. It didn't work for the Cass rework. It didn't work for the Skarner rework. It didn't work for stopping mobility creep. And so on it goes.

How it will go:

1. Both reworks will go through (maybe a few buffs but not much).

1.5. Riot will ignore all complaints even if they are bucked up by math, saying that they know better

2. The reworks launch and everyone hates them because they feel like massive nerfs

3. Riot gives around 20 PR statements saying why these reworks are actually good

3.5. No one believes this "bullsh--" and Riot is forced to sacrifice even more resources because they didn't listen to the complaints from step 1.5

4. Instead of fixing the rework they just buff them untill they are OP or near that level

4.5. The problems in the rework make it so that the champion has to be OP otherwise you lose all reason to play them (Cassiopeia situation)

5. Riot ignores all future complaints saying that they fixed all the problems even though they never did.

No? What do you think riot is, a game developer?

Why the frag should they listen to a fragging pleb leecher scrub like you? Dude, theyre a fragging sports association, not a fragging game developer.

As a fragging sports association they have clearly been in the fragging buisiness and know the fragging rules. So stop fragging complaining about the fragging changes because riot isnt actually doing the fragging thing! Clearly its a fragging game developer fragging around in the fragging game.

Oh god. Typing that actually hurt my brain... Please realize its in sarcasm. >_>

Or... it could go like the Ahri changes... Everyone complains so much that it fills the forums. People use all manner of math to show how little damage she does, then she's the strongest champ in the game.

That happened, and that's why Riot doesn't listen to us. Justified.

After witnessing Azir and Fizz , I think not.

Kristari Zuboro2/14/2015, 6:06:05 PM11 votes

Nope, Morello decided to nerf these champs and that's all there is to it. He was playing ranked, got his ass handed to him, and that's all it takes.

Same thing happened with Sion, he got owned and he decided to change him completely afterwards.

they won't listen, never do.

Here, I have compiled list of things Riot takes into consideration on community input about PBE changes before deciding to (not) listen to it:

1.) Is said champion LeeSin?

There isn't actually any point giving feedback ever. Riot doesn't listen to anyone on boards or reddit. They obviously ignore all posts about feedback, unless a Rioter started the post. They have no public relations management.

Riot has been ignoring any jungle feedback for 5 month. Same for Sona

Olaf and Skarner feedback has been ignored even longer....

TheGrayBuffoon2/15/2015, 2:23:31 AM4 votes

As long as we keep playing the game and as long as we keep buying RP they could care less. Why should they change? They don't have to as their bankroll clearly shows. Look what they did to Sona. People rightly upset but how many people who were upset went ahead and got the new Sona skin?

I really started noticing their philosophical shift when they proposed the Karma changes. Keep in mind they NEVER had old Karma available for a Free Week tryout ever (her shield was awsome). I didn't play Karma then but I know people who did. They kept asking Riot to reconsider and Riot threw all kinds of smoke their way telling Karma players that they valued their feedback and would listen.

Bottom line they gutted Karma. The present offering is not Karma of old. They even took away her in-game fans.

As has been said by others quite well: They don't care and do you know why? Its as I stated earlier: At the same time we complain/make our opinions known we also fork over the $. The only thing they listen to is money. I am NOT saying a business has no right making it but their integrity is poor.

You mistake this website for Reddit, of course they wont listen to what we say here.

I think they've made it pretty clear how much they care about forum users' opinions. :(

Urdnot Entar2/15/2015, 5:10:25 AM2 votes

Yep, Riot's logic is generally backwards, and that includes taking feedback from the community.

Nielarken2/15/2015, 12:38:40 PM2 votes

No dont give feed back we dont want them to "fix" them anymore then they have, we saw what happens when they "fix" champs Cassiopeia

j j2/15/2015, 1:03:46 PM2 votes

Unfortunately people on the balance team have this ego where they think they understand the champion better than certain players in the community. Their disgusting bias has destroyed many champions. Also insert X mobility skill to new champion is getting old and is the reason many champions are not viable today.

I hear Riot follows basic psychology in the fact that they are more willing to listen if you give your suggestions and feedback professionally and with stuff to back it up. Think about it like a game of SoloQ. Say someone (Riot) is not doing well, do you think they're more willing to take advice from you if you say "How about you play safe, try to farm up, and we'll win this in the lategame" or "f u feeder, uninstall"

Point of the matter, you're more likely to get Riot to notice your feedback and respond if you are a good person about it.

SmokingPuffin2/14/2015, 10:12:33 PM1 votes

Skarner is a pretty bad example. They took a second stab at his rework with a new passive design, and it's quite an improvement. Basically what we want to happen with Cassiopeia.

I think that obviously the Morde and Veigar changes will happen. Feedback will only be useful to the extent that you're talking about your fantasy of the character, and not about balance. Riot will assess balance the way they always do, and that's not based on forum complaints.
