Bruiser crit modifier (Crit base damage) on select items

TL DR: start of game drink potion to switch from default item stats to its new secondary stats for select items.

So I realize crit is strong particularly because it works off of your total AD, which is why giving more % crit items for bruisers can sort of sky rocket their damage to a level that exceeds their job description. Which I think is why there is no method of adequately incorporating crit for bruisers without sacrificing your tankyness. Atmas helped but as an item didn't give enough overal stats to compete with alternatives.

So many bruisers with attack speed steroids could excel with crit. Botrk is nice but depreciates as the target is low on hp and it isn't as good vs non hp stacking champions. Crit is so inviting on so many bruiser champions but out of reach without departing from their role.

with triforce you don't crit enough to feel it, you do feel the sheen however. then there's ghostblade but 15% doesn't cut it either. IE is out of the budget and won't syngergize that well unless you base your build around it. Plus you depart from your role as a semi frontliner. PD and Shiv don't provide enough utility to gap close and again force you to be squishy.

Sheen is nice because it works off of base ad. This gates how much you can burst compared to crit. since crit scales off your total ad. So i was thinking what if you drank a specific potion at the start of the game. Drinking the potion would convert select crit chance/bruiser items to have a secondary modifier which is used instead of the default crit chance. So these items could give you the secondary modifier if you drank the potion item 3707 item 3142 item 3078item 3156 would all work with it. so warrior might give : 30 damage + say 12% chance to crit your base damage on next auto.

Ghostblade might give 20 or 25% chance to crit base damage. triforce would give 15% or 20% etc the figures are guesstimates and obviously not precise but with the right math balanced numbers could be reached.

On maw could grant more % chance to crit base damage as you get low this could make maw both good for caster ad champs and auto attack bruiser champs. UNIQUE: Grants +1 % chance to crit base damage for every 3.5% of missing health, capped at 20% chance.

a player using maw boost their spell damage might build: item 3074 item 3156 item 3071 a person using maw to amplify autos might build item 3156item 3078 item 3072 and drink the potion

Perhaps a new item like atmas could be created that would become the bruiser's equivalent to IE (it would amplify the base damage crit by like 25%).

Currently With 200 ad plus sheen proc ... [114(lvl 18 base ad on aatrox)*2] aatrox would do 428 Plus 200 if he crits = 668

Whereas if you drank potion sheen would do 428 plus chance to apply base ad 114 = 542 That's if I'm at lvl 18 However on the plus side you'll have more chance to apply your base ad on each auto. your auto essentially applying your base ad three times plus bonus ad if you crit and apply sheen.

the more ad you have to more IE boosts your damage, meanwhile this bruiser crit modifier has its cap at level 18 thereby gating bruisers, and keeping them within an acceptable amount of burst/steady autoattack damage.

you can always drink another potion that erases it if you don't want it. the potion would also work with crit % runes. drinking it would give your runes 2% chance your base ad on next auto

kind of like a cross between elixirs and how viktor or rengar can buy items unique to them.

whats nice is this way you don't have to create more items you can give current items a different function just by drinking a potion.

Edit: could also be off of say (65% base ad + 35% bonus ad) times 175%

Or 150% base ad + 125% bonus ad

Anyways something less than 200% total DMG. Such that bruisers would have less burst than an adc but with as much consistency and with a more optimal ratio of crit (AA amplification) to DMG to attack speed.

To indicate that you drank the potion.. items benefiting from it would get a red border. Given a week's time it would become commonplace just like jungle enchantments are and people wouldn't think anything of it.
