Blaming Everything On ADCs Is Just Avoiding The Problem.

Everyone knows that a lot of support items are overtuned, maybe riot did this to attract more players to the support role, maybe they did it for shits and giggles no one can really tell, but there have barely been any meaningfull changes in the adc role as a whole this season. The most meaningfull changes on the adc role were item 3087 losing some passive damage but can now be used along with item 3094 and item 3026 being changed to fit the adcs and bruiser builds better. But none of these are enough to call the ADC role broken. In fact buying aitem 3094 + item 3031 + item 3087 instead of a zeal upgrade + item 3031 +another damage item actually takes some reliability on chance away from the adc role. All in ALL,i did not make this thread to hate on supports or say that adcs are perfectly balanced,i just want people to see some changes from my point of view

Actually if you think about this from the big picture, every little bit of these things is to blame...

item 3504 having on hit healing (No longer the case, but since worlds is played on patch 7.18 people still love to whine their yaps off about it) allowing marksmen to bypass the need for early sustain and rush straight crit chance.

Crit chance items being made cheaper, ensuring earlier powerspikes for marksmen than what should be the case.

The broken asf combo of item 3087 item 3094 item 3031 and WARLORDS for huge, unavoidable crit with hybrid damage to melt both squishies and tanks alike, while restoring a fair chunk of a ADC's hp bar all from extremely safe distance.

Enchanter itemization scaling so much better while being extremely effective and reliable into the late game than it's counterparts.

Tank support itemization being extremely underwhelming and simply not fitting the current "protect and empower the ADC" meta...

So yeah, to a outsider it's easy to lump the blame onto one or the other of these things... ADC's or Ardent... But in reality, the problem is that Riot dug themselves into this mess with all these changes combined, culminating in this current meta we have atm...

its not just ardent, its enhancers themselves, riot took a lot of hp out of the game with the tank update from their items, but left shields the same on supports. Now you see a twitch tankier than gragas because of lulu.I know what these champions do and how the work, people have been playing the kog maw-lulu combo botlane for years but when you see enhancers and healers in every single game with every possible adc theres something wrong with the game, tristana already has an escape ability and a knockback she should not work the best with an enhancer, lucian has a dash i dont see lucian dealing more damage than he should in my games i see a lucian followed by an enhancer or healer being way tankier than he should every single game.

ADCs don't even build GA that often. ADCs are a bit of problem, but really it's just the crit damage mod on IE, some of the damage on Shiv, the combo of RFC + Shiv, Essence Reaver (making Sivir and Xayah disgusting), and warlords.

Seriously, Warlords is a huge issue, but ADCs are not the entire problem what-so-ever.

1.xayah is not op and neither is sivir, xayah is op in the LCS because of her ultimate. 2.i explained above why the RFC+Shiv combo was actually a good choice by riot. 3.IE giving 250% crit has existed for A LONG TIME in league of legends. 4.The current state of warlords is better than all the others we have seen, its just the only viable choice for most adcs at this point which is why it is most commonly picked not because it is op but rather because fervor is no longer an optimal choice for an adc.
