They don't necessarily have to travel to Thresh's location, the lantern can simply disappear like how GP's barrels are destroyed by the enemy team.
If this is way too harsh for poor Thresh, then whoever clicked the lantern would have a little slow as a tradeoff, but his ally couldn't return anymore.

it is already easy to counter the lantern and since this is basically all it does is save teammates and it is an entire ability slot with no passive other than a very shitty shield...just stop.
the only thing that should ever be done to thresh at this point is to fix his hit box. thats it. or to make it more clear who he is aiming his hook at as he can simply face one person and last second throw his hook out at someone else.

xl Kirito lx1 votesIf anything, I'd prefer something along the lines that pink wards got slightly bigger, or the lanturn slightly smaller. I think thresh would be a lot less of a problem if the support could just drop a pink on the lanturn, and force the X person to kill it.
