Is it just me or does CSing matter so much less now a days than it once did?

Back in my day if you got behind in CS you were fucked.

Now a days I see laners with like 100 cs at 30 min and somehow 1 shotting people still.

Honestly if you know what you're doing & are in low enough elo you can get away with murder 100CS no problem (It's common in bronze - silver)

Gold starts to go up a little bit

From what i've seen Diamond & plat + above are only ones that don't have low cs and focus more on csing than killing

So basically low elo Csing doesn't matter "AS MUCH" as higher elo does

They shifted a TON of gold to the cannon minions. Now it doesnt matter how good you are at CSing, you either get the cannon or you might as well sit in base for the passive gold, as its probably more valuable than whatever pitty CS youve gotten prior to that cannon.

I mean, I can play Bard and not farm a single minion in lane and still have more fire power than the adc late game sometimes (even being one item behind). Something's wrong with the gold system.

Two things:

Most gold was shifted to cannons. If you get them, you don't have to be perfect with lower minions.
Bounty gold's been changed, to where instead of getting significant gold for Assists, now, Bounties are higher for the person getting the kill. Instead of a 450G cap on bounties, now players are getting 550G Bounties, but their allies are getting less.

So.... people who are shutting down carries early are now earning much more gold.

As adc i notice the enemy is higher lvl and richer than me with less CS because i occasionally missed the cannon yet trist would dive an attack from me to get my cannons every time.
