Now that Champion Mastery is getting revamped a bit, will ARAM games count?

This very well could've been answered already, and a link to that discussion - if it exists - would be awesome.

I play almost entirely ARAM (Yes, I am in fact, a dirty dirty casual), and have gotten a good handle on a fair amount of champions... but nothing to show for it. Since the Mastery system is changing up, will ARAM games finally count towards a champion mastery rank? It makes sense, really. I would argue being forced to play a champion that you may ultimately never actually choose to play should count towards mastering the champ.
