Diana is slated for the fire-themed skin from All Star, so you can look forward to that in the coming months!
Nasus received Archduke last year, Shaco received Wild Card, Talon received SSW, and Jax recently received Warden, for a bit of context there.
Malzahar is on the Champion Update list, so we won't be considering him for a skin until he's squared away.
I would love to see a Karthus skin with particles, personally. And now that Sion has been updated (and his model and rig are so fresh and so clean, clean), I'd love to give him a higher tier skin that has all kinds of bells and whistles. His catalog of skins doesn't have a whole lot going on, as compared to some of the newer champions. D:

I see so many champions that get extremely loved skin-wise and others just...Are left there to sit on the dust. Going with the thread, Tryndamere is a main offender, and it's even worse because his kit, design and theme are extremely bland, even boring, so it kind of baffles me why he gets so many skins pumped out for him.

We go into an ideation saying, "We want a new skin for x champion" and we discuss potential thematics for that champion - Mecha, Arcade, or even new thematics we've never done. We discuss the hooks of these thematics and then we vote on which ones we think are strongest. Those are then further discussed to come up with what we think works the best. The other ideas are stored away and can be pulled out for future ideations!
We go in saying, "Hey, it's almost time for Snowdown, let's talk about the thematic for this year, and who we think would be good champions to support it." Similar as before, but this time, we toss out champions and the hooks that would make the skin really cool and fit in with the event. Again, we vote and further discuss and other ideas not used are saved for later.
We go in saying, "Here's a thematic we want to pursue - Arcade." What champions work well here, and what's the hook that supports how awesome this idea. Same as before - we vote, discuss, and save all ideas for later.
We also take a look at fan creations in these meetings - both from a folder we keep, as well as doing a quick search on Google. They're also considered when we work on ideating on new content!
That said, we do bring up champions who haven't had skins in a while, just to make sure they're on the radar, however, they may not be the right fit for a thematic we want to move forward with/event we're running with.

Nightmare tryndamere for example (a really cool skin btw) strikes me as one where virtually any other sword wielding champion might have used the theme, and in fact I had to double check that it was in fact Tryndemere when I faced him ingame for the first time.
If able I'd also wish you'd comment on the state of the less humanoid champions. Lissandra and Zac for example have a total of 3 skins, while both being from 2013, 2 of them being the default and arguably a colored reskin with minimal changes done to it, while for example Draven, who has a much simpler model has as much as 6. Do you plan to release more skins for the champions with weirder models to have them match with the number of skins other champions have?

The complexity of the model/champion won't stop us - it just may take us a bit longer to come up with a cool thematic that works well. In Lissandra's case, we need to accommodate her walk animations and come up with a cool base for her to stand on! But, if we have a cool thematic, the complexity of the champion won't stop us (not even Zyra~).

I would assume you've heard it a million times. But DoA's "Walker Texas

Saeko241 votesBut Katey.. don't get me wrong but... there are 2 things up with SSW Talon for example.
Now just think about it... he got 2 skins after his release. Dragonblade Talon January 2012 Dragonblade as 975 skin (i don't complain here) and SSW Talon.... mid year 2015. My problem is that he got 1 skin after more than 3 years and this skin is "just" 750 Tier AND legacy. It just really bothers me. Not because he is my main. I just think there could have been more... even if it would have been just another 750 Tier skin which is not legacy or something. And yeah i know there are some other examples like Swain and Kennen but I wanted to talk about him.
I hope you get my point! Absolutly don't want to be a dick or something, don't get me wrong! I'm just sad about those facts. :(
Riotmoonstones4 votesI agree with you - his kit doesn't have a whole lot besides model and textures. Talon is a champion from 2011, so like a lot of older champions, their earlier skins are mostly model and texture changes. Not using that as an excuse by any means - just how it used to be. That said, I'd love to see Talon with a bit more in terms of sounds, and even some particles. (He's pretty particle light - but I think there are a few places we could really add some flair.)

Maybe some new animation or the blood or something, not sure. Even if just W and R would be changed I would already be happy(like SSW but like I said I like all of his skins)... and to be honest... a skin with some new VO would be amazing. :D Would totally spend those 13xx or 18xx RP. Thanks or the reply! Dunno who downvoted you but your response is already satisfying for me... at least for now. :p Really hope I can get a new skin for him this year.

All of these skins are at the 750 level, which means only the most minimal of efforts was allowed into their productions. It feels like the team just said "Let's just make some quick skins and get these champs off the 'long wait since last skin' list."
Also, didn't you say a year ago that the release SSW Talon did not mean he wasn't scheduled for another non-Legacy skin? Did that change sometime in the past 12 months or was that always going to be the case? (Same goes with Fnatic Karthus, while we're at it.)

It sucks to have a champ that you love to play and see cool particle effect skins like the blood moons and pool party skins come out and you gets stuck with a 750 model change. Heck, at least Tryndamere got two 750 skins since Twitch got his one. (that cartoon sized pistol was a nightmare...just sayin)
It's nice to get a skin for your champ, but it just seems unfair when you can throw up "so and so got a skin at the end of 2014" but it was just a 750 dress up skin, and still justifies knocking them out of the race for a real skin.

Kouga4 votesBecause, if you read Katey's other posts here, skins generally include particles to some degree, and if Cass's kit gets changed or tweaked (even if not a complete overhaul) then those particles or animations may need to be changed. So they'll wait until the mage update is done to add their skins to avoid duplicating work.
