Does anyone else feel like Ranked isn't worth it anymore?

I've played ranked the last two seasons trying to see if I could make it up to at least Gold V. That was my dream. Nothing more, nothing less. I could care less about trying to make it to something like diamond or even platinum. But with this last season I got knocked down to B1, so I climbed up to my promos into Silver and.... I just stopped. Just sometime around Feb or even Jan I think I decided to stop ranked because I just thought to myself "What's the point? What value is there in trying to climb in ranked?"

You can now say that I'm hopping on the bandwagon right now of "Riots shitty ranked system" but honestly I don't fucking care. I just decided it's time to ask my question and get my thoughts out there since this is starting to be a hot topic apparently.

Seriously though, why do you even climb or just play ranked in general? I always climbed just so that by the end of the season I could get that stupid victorious skin for whatever champ they chose but looking at that plan now it just seems pointless with how things are. In order to climb to say another # in my division, I have to win enough games to get 100 lp, then try to win 2 out of 3 for my promos, 1-4 times, and then in order to try and climb into a whole other division I have to do nearly the same thing except now win 3 out of 5 games!

On top of this you have to take into account many other factors like in other games, like trolls, DCs, premades taht camp your lane, the extremely strong FotM champs that go around, lose streaks, players that don't communicate/ are toxic as fuck. As well, from what I've seen from other posts, the matchmaking in Ranked seems completely random so for all you know, you could have a whole team of plats/diamonds vs a team of bronzes and one silver, and even more frustrating doing extremely well on your placements, like you somehow went flawless and carried every game, and should be placed in diamond but you end up in silver instead!

All of this to try and get some stupid border around your loading screen box, a special skin if you're high enough, and to show your skill worth in the game. To me this just isn't worth it anymore. One game of League can already be stressful enough in certain situations, I don't want to make it more stressful by trying to climb something that overall is just to show how good you are at the game.
