So I am a Jax main and he is my favorite champ and I was wondering what the community would think of his empowered q was changed someway because right now you pretty much only empower your auto atacks and not your q. Just a though I could be wrong though.

Haha thanks man. And too your last point I don’t think Jax needs a big rework as much as he needs some small changes to his list and a visual update. Though the recent vfx update helped a lot.
Kai Guy1 votesI am trying to be a more self aware person which is why I decided to be open with you. I am far to bias about Jax. He represents older designer philosophy's this game used that I dislike.
The Empowered Leap is mostly used far as I can see as a niech mechanic burst because the AA reset tends to be much stronger and with a Charged Stun its very easy to stun then wombo the AA. I mostly only ever see jax go in on empowered leap when he is at a risk of dying and is banking on that Triumph heal to save him or thinks it will be enough to kill the target.
Theoretically shifting it from damage to utility is an option. Could increase his Leap range, its a change that can be made and then enable riot to nerf his base Leap distance to weaken his best cases. This adds decision and separates good/bad players but end of the day I would still just hate it. I am going to support things that make him more interactive rather then stronger or weaker in his current kit. So … rework.

Jax Q damage also helps him out during early trades, that small amout of damage matters. Because his early is not so hot.
Increasing the range of Q sacrificing damage is also wrong balancing, you can't do that cause he is a hard scaling melee fighter that happens to deny AA's as he leaps in, and that also happens to get free bonus resists, and that also has (currently) an incredible synergy with conqueror and items that make him good.
AKA he could theoretically reach the backline in one leap. And maybe be a good Jungler (cause better leap). Which would be terrifying.

OP basically is almost asking for a On-hit Q for Jax by the looks of it, which also cannot be done, he is supposed to be bad early for his amazing late. Giving him extra tools like being able to proc Sheen better is an unwanted approach, cause that also will escalate as soon as he gets trinity (dunno if duskblade would be a viable option, but i would certainly try it out just for the funsies).

I don’t want his q to be on-hit I just want a valid reason to empower his q over his w. Right now the only reason would be to kill someone who is low enough it would flat out kill them. Maybe if you empower his q then when you land you do damage in a small aoe instead of one target. It would make it a nice farming tool but that could be too op idk. Any suggestions would be nice.
