All the hate on random crits.

Lately a lot of people are complaining about random crits. Crits are not a bad thing. The problem is when you bring 3% crit chance in runes and crit 2-3 times at level 1-2.

Honestly instead of all these damage amp systems which are just making more and more consistent damage instead are dumb. If we want to fix crits we should change crit to being a charge up system. Instead of crit chance its renamed crit charge/%. You start with 0 at the start of the game and when you hit 100 on the invisible system you crit and this 100 is achieved each AA adding your crit charge to the number and the leftover value carries over into the next crit charge.

This is a lot more skill based and makes for very interesting trades if you can keep track of you and the enemy's AAs.

I suggested something similar a long time ago, I wish Riot would explore features which add more intentional behaviors rather than random surprises.

But at this point I think they'd be better off just give us the option to alter the game in Custom modes, Riots never gonna explore half of the potential of this game, the least they could do is allow us to mod it the way DotA was modded from WC3.

Get ready for down votes.

It's too predictable, who ever has more range just needs to start crit first and they auto win lane. Get a grasp of how much you stack per auto and you can predict when your next crit will be. Your opponent won't be able to do anything against your range and crits.

I've seen the idea and support the idea, some people though just want to nerf crit into oblivion and rework the entire game around a new system.

The problem with crits is infinity edge.

IE isn't a problem. The problem was nerfing BT so that it isn't a viable choice in lane because it no longer stacks to much higher damage and is reliable damage BT=weaker IE now. Sure you can grab a 100ish hp shield but how much does that actually help against raw damage and extended trades? And late game 300ish hp isn't going to stop the typical assassin from bursting you.
