I have no problem with Malzahar players until people talk shit while playing Malzahar

90% of the Malzahar players I come across just abuse him for his ultimate, and barely know how to chain multiple malefic visions or how to effectively use his voidlings in their current state.

Just because you secure early kills by you and your jungler abusing Malz ultimate before the other mid can build QSS does not make you good at mid nor does it give you the right to lecture anyone on anything related to mages. Until you are one of those Malzahar players that are good enough to secure first blood at level 3-4 and use his early zoning properly please just don't talk down or flame anyone else it just looks silly.

60% Syndra use, press R to burst anyone. Skill.

thing is malz's ult does same amount of damage and supresses.

Mal'z Ult does NOT do as much damage as Syndra. Malz needs to either have Visions and minions or a teammate, otherwise he often won't get a kill. Especially if there are other enemies around. If Malz dies etc it is useless. Syndra can just press R and run away.

Hmm and are you forgetting the pitiful base damage her ult does if she doesn't set up her orbs? She actually needs setting up unlike braindead Malzahar flash ulting you in fights to literally make the game a 4v5.

I hate Malzahar and think his ult is terribly designed but I still think MysterQ is correct

No doubt, Malz Ult itself in a perfect box is unbelievably unfair (more unfun than unfair). But you can play around it as a team and individual.

It's funny how times change. For years, it was "Malz ult sucks, you have to root yourself" and "niche pick, because ult turns you into a pinata". Now, "so op" and "abuse".

The spell shield does a lot make it harder to instantly knock him out of it

Well new Malz does have a shield that literally negates cc and damage from the first ability so it's really hard to stop him in time to save your teammate.

Old Malzahar was never a bad champion. Niche? Peharps. Situtional? Maybe. But he was never bad, he was probably the most underrated champion in the game, his ult could easily suppress you just like it does nowadays, he could push while staying safe, etc.

The difference is that old Malzahar didn't had a spellshield to rely on to protect him. This made him a lot riskier to use, which means he required more skill to play, and meant he would fall off late game because he could easily get caught and there is nothing he could do about that other than using Zhonya because he had no self peel.

That doesn't mean he was any less powerful. There is a reason why old Malzahar was consistently one of the highest winrate champions in the game.

Kayle players are worse tbh.

That's not exactly a valid argument since it can be used for just about any champ, but i agree with what you're saying

If you made Malzahar Ult require the target to be silenced would it make him useless? Could you move power healthily to other parts of his kit so it wouldn't dumpster him?

It would require either someone else Blitzcrank Chogath Garen Soraka on your team to silence before you ult, or for you to hit the Q (his only skillshot).

The same shit should apply to a lot of mages with bursty ultimates tbh.

"Press R to kill anyone, skill!"

Also be careful of who you make fun of most people here are mage mains and if you talk shite to any of them u git burned kappa
