Jayce gets played in LCS and suddenly he is OP? He still has one of the easiest kits to bully in the game. Avoid his Q W or W Q combo and build tank with hp and he is useless. Jayce literally has had almost no changes to him or the items he built in over 4 patches.

Your best friend against Jayce . 10% damage reduction on all 3 of his W shots in cannon form. 30 armor to counter his 2nd item (1st is 90% of the time). MS to help dodge his combos. And if you want to say that his all in is his powerful part. It really isn't. His in is only good if he already poked you down with his ranged attacks.

all do fairly well against him. His weakness is being dove. If you force him to go into melee to push you away you have won your trade. Most of his damage is in ranged form his melee is his utility.

Because any champ played in the LCS or Worlds etc will be deemed OP or complained about, hence why Syndra became one of the most banned champions despite no changes.

Except the changes to Syndra druing the mage update. She was strong since then, people just didn't ban/pick her because she wasn't played in LCS.

She still isn't that strong. There are much better picks than her. She is just a safe pick. Her Q E range is about the only reason she is picked at worlds other than the really awkward change to her skill floor by letting her grab 3 orbs instead of 1 on top of the duration increase.

He excels in long trades since he can Q multiple times in quick succession (switching forms fully resets Q cd). He's always had some of the best long range poke, and even after 6 if he's built up enough of a lead, he can burst/fight you with Cannon gateQ+auto +Hammer Q auto.

No it does not reset CD. That is a lie. His R has a CD. And that CD is slightly shorter than his Q CD. And Jayce also builds CDR later on. Both forms of his cost mana to use abilities. (unlike most 2 form champs).

Then how come he can Q+R+Q?

His second form shares does not share it's CD with his first form. So he would have to Q R R Q to get the second shot on his Q. His Q in hammer form is his only way to go in. So if you are talking that Q R Q it's because no 2 form champ has shard CDs between their abilities on the same button.

Yes I'm talking about his hammer Q.

Think of it this way:

Jayce Q's in ranged form(does a lot of damage, chunks you) instantly, he switches forms and Q's again(does pretty good damage, chunks you)

Then:

hits you away after auto'ing (and proc'ing tlords+passive), getting a lot of damage in a very short time with little room for retaliation
continues to auto, damage is mediocre after the initial >50% health burst, then switches forms and Q's again, taking out even more of your health. This happens if you traded blows for maybe 3 seconds since he can Q u as u dissengage. And you want to hit him for those 3 seconds in which he has no abilities, as he just got 75% of his damage on you, and you dont wanna just eat that. So free third Q on you.

The problem with Jayce early is that not everyone is going to be a tank and/or play draft. What I personally find the most annoying is the 700 dmg E+Q which is fair since its a part of his kit and is what deems him fit in Professional-play siege comp. Also, Jayce build a good amount of early armor penetration which is shreds you like a axe through paper. by the time you have a completed armor item( item 3068 item 3742 ) he would have build a black cleaver or a serrated dirk. And finally Jayce's E+Q has a crazy travel speed that makes it already hard to dodge along with a item 3043 for endless poke. (My friend was a Jayce main in s5 so I kinda understood his potential)
