Brainstorming: Stinger
Stinger
Recipe: Recurve Bow (1000) + Dagger (300) + 350 = 1650
+50% Attack Speed
Unique Passive: +10% Cooldown Reduction Unique Passive: Your basic attacks deal 15 bonus Magic Damage on-hit.
This version of Stinger is basically the AS version of Bilgewater Cutlass, that is to say a sort of intermediary upgrade to the previous item (in this case Recurve Bow / Vamp Scepter) that builds into different things.
It also transitions into Magic Damage from Physical, since the two things it builds into (one updated and one current) deal on-hit Magic Damage. Devourer still has to build from Recurve, though, because 1650 is too expensive to build into a jungle item.
This Stinger is ~116% gold efficient, for the record. Down a bit from the live version's 129% efficiency.
Wit's End
Recipe: Stinger (1650) + Negatron Cloak (720) + 530 = 2900
+50% Attack Speed +40 Magic Resist +10% Cooldown Reduction
Unique Passive: Your basic attacks deal 42 bonus Magic Damage on-hit. Unique Passive: Your basic attacks steal 5 Magic Resist from your target for 5 seconds, stacking up to 5 times.
Back up to 42 bonus damage. Besides that, it's mostly the same, just a slight price increase and the extra AS and CDR from Stinger added on. The build path not being so awful will probably help it considerably.
This version of Wit's is ~114% gold efficient without its MR leech. The live version is ~97% efficient without leech. Not sure if that's too high for what the item does or not.
Nashor's Tooth
Recipe: Stinger (1650) + Fiendish Codex (800) + 550 = 3000
+50% Attack Speed +80 Ability Power
Unique Passive: +20% Cooldown Reduction Unique Passive: Your basic attacks deal 15 (+15% AP) bonus Magic Damage on-hit.
Nothing changed about Nashor's besides its combine cost. On a random note, I had no idea just how hilariously cost-efficient this item is. 142.17% + 12.5% for every 100 AP gained from other sources is pretty nuts.
Madred's Dervish
Recipe: Stinger (1650) + Quicksilver Sash (1300) + 450 = 3400
+50% Attack Speed +45 Magic Resist +10% Cooldown Reduction
Unique Passive - Ruin: Your basic attacks deal bonus Magic Damage equal to 6% of your target's Current Health (minimum 15, and max 60 versus minions and monsters).
Unique Active - Quicksilver: Removes all debuffs and grants +50% bonus Movement Speed for 1 second (90 second cooldown).
Unique to Twisted Treeline / Crystal Scar, as a reworked Dervish Blade
Overhauled Dervish Blade fused with the old Madred's Bloodrazor. Now functions much better as a standalone item by granting some actual damage with the AS, making it more of an alternative to BotRK than... whatever it is now.
The unique passive is named with the intention of also putting the same name on BotRK's passive. I'm not sure if stacking both of them together would be too strong, so that would be a way to err on the side of caution.
This item is 69.4% efficient before its passive and active. BotRK, by comparison, is 83.8% efficient before its own passive and active. Magic damage is generally more effective than physical, though, due to MR generally being the lesser defensive stat, so that should offset it a bit?
For reference, Madred's Bloodrazor would be 76.3% efficient before its passive if it were in the game today exactly as it was back then. Maybe this version should maintain Bloodrazor's dealing % Max HP damage rather than % Current HP? I'm not sure, honestly. Cost efficiency for offensive items that don't directly grant combat damage is hard.
would make for a pretty intense attack speed item.
