Riot's strategy for getting viewers for worlds is apparently to royally p*** off the regular players

When you see responses from Rioters like Maple about not wanting Worlds to be "boring" and then buffing all the overloaded mobile champ's damage, it makes you think stuff like "Why am I buying 5 Sejuani skins and trying to get good with this champion if this company's goal is to consciously make champions like her not be able to succeed?" I think it's great that there is a pro scene and I casually tune in during big events but I'm done contributing to that part of League because it just makes my playing experiences worse. I would much rather watch LCS guys have to pick the same 12 champions for a few games than have hours of my own gaming experience be an out of balance mess. I know the boards are just a tiny fraction of the player base, but the opinion on here is largely felt by many of the people that play this game and everyone is getting a little sick of our own gaming experiences go in the toilet so that Riot can get more viewers in their annual Korea Wins Again tournament.

  1. Nerf your mobile AD champs
  2. Revert the jungle changes
  3. Add real defensive stats to front-lining champs (except for Mundo and Garen and possibly a few others)
  4. Buff tower damage

Riot still doesn't seem to understand that the best things for worlds is a diverse meta, not one where a handful of mid tier champions are buffed into pick/ban status. TI was so damn fun to watch because there isn't as much unnecessary buffing and top tier heroes are nerfed down to the level of mid tier ones and not visa versa.
