Actual Issues in League

Too much overlap, lack of items, and pigeonholing. Let me explain each:

Overlap: tons of overlap exist between champions , runes, and items. Too many objects doing the same thing means only one of them will be used.

Lack of Items: not enough real item diversity and items that offer counterplay. For example, an item that makes one immune to incoming disables for like 3 seconds. Not enough variance in AP either.

Pingeonholing: Feels like Riot forces you to play the game a certain way by purposely overnerfing things they don't want you to do. Like adding a bunch of useless stats on support items, for example, so not even supports want to build it almost.

I'm sure you all have different opinions on the matter

Old niche AP Trist. Removed Old mage Sion mid. Removed. Old unique battle mage/support Karma. Removed. Old unique poke adc Urgot. Removed.

You will play this game the way Riot wants or they will remove your champions from the game.

I liked picking old Urgot in adc position when enemies had a lot of burst champions or some crap like 3 assassins. Got lvl 5 on him before i even noticed.

because those not only don't fit thematically at all, they were horrible for the game. no shit they'll be removed.

More - not necessarily means better. And this isnt dota. I hope thing from your example will never find its way into league.

Kinda true for champions. Didnt feel that its the case for runes or items. At least not it the way that does not make sense.

I definently agree within 3, i feel like Riot just nerfs whatever they don't like.

Ex: teleport is less "interactive" than ignite, so they're gutting tp and overbuffing ignite when it didnt even need buffs.

Oh man I agree with all of this very much. No items should be built from the same components (Guinsoo's and Duskblade, Zeal items). It just offers too much to champions who want these stats.

I'd add the issue that some champions will always benefit much more from rune keystones than others. This was true for the old masteries as well, when every champion would take Thunderlord's by default because all the other keystones were too niche. Keystones were a dumb change that made every champion in a role way too similar by shifting their strength to something apart from their kit, and the best champions in a role are those that can use a certain keystone the best.
