About Taric rework, his click-and-stun and other concerns
Taric is in my top 3 Champions and I cannot lie. I am terrified of the incoming rework. I should be happy because I understand he is a bit behind other supports and his model is old af. But there are things that really concern me and I am going to list them and explain why.
1- Click-and-stun. I am already making up my mind that it will be gone. The best and most remarkable skill Taric has, and probably the only click-and-stun projectile left in the game (with maybe the exception of
) will be gone. And I am sure it will because that's what we have been seeing in the last two years. Less click and hit and more skill shots. Which would be a good thing if it wasn't for the fact that we live in a world of mobility creeps with more and more new champions whose kits are overloaded with speed buffs, dashes and infinite kangaroo jumps. Taric's E was one of the last things that could counter them. No matter where they went, his stun would follow. I hope I am wrong, but everything tells me it will be gone.
2- Forced to bot lane: another thing we have seen too much lately. Whenever a support tries to play other lanes, they get nerfed and condemned to be support only. I love playing Taric jungle and Taric top much more than I love playing him support. I love when you can use your imagination and make a Champion work somewhere they usually don't belong. But when it is forced to be one thing only, it is sad. It is boring. And it is limiting the game. Again. I hope I am wrong. I really do. But knowing how things are lately, this is what will mostly happen.
On the other hand, things I am excited about:
1- New model. I can't wait to see the gem knight in all new modern-looking glory. And I hope the armor of the fifth age is just OUTRAGEOUS.
2- New abilities that really feel and look like a gem knight. I don't think people know that they have more armor close to me. There is no visual indicator for that (if only they also had the crystals that Taric has when the ability is on cd) .Most people don't even know why I use ultimate when we are attacking a tower. It has to feel right. It has to look right. And I hope the new ideas for his abilities bring this up.
3- Seeing him as an always viable support and not "only if the other team has a lot of AD" (which will be the case anyway with the new meta and the armor nerfs).
