Why complaining about lee sin?

Glory97··7 votes·815 views

There are many post with "I'm so tired of seeing lee sin in every game, rito nerf lee now." Well yes lee is in a good spot right now but he is not overpowered. He has his own strenght and weakness. And a good lee sin main that knows how to use the strong earlygame to snowball the game deserves to win. Other players that are good with their main champion, performing really well, also carry their team to win. It's just that, because lee sin is a play-maker champion that can outplay the enemy extremly, a lot of people have fun playing and mastering lee sin. If rito nerf him now it would be unfair to all these lee sin mains.

I'm sad seeing these complain-posts with so many upvotes. I admire all lee sin mains out there. Keep it up. I love seeing amazing lee sin outplays.

Lee Sin is one of the main reason for the lack of jungler diversity. Like why pick other junglers whenn you can just pick this one guy who deals an absurd amount of damage & has multiple dashes for no reason, especially that over-used no counterplay RQQ combo?

Glory971 votes

If a lot of people play him because he is fun to play, why is that a probleme? Also the RQQ combo has counterplay, though it requires skill to pull it off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIZzM7DabOE go to 0.24 in the video.

Dont make me laugh. How does R Q Q require skill. R is point click and then you throw Q in direction you sent your enemy. Enemy is knocked up during the duration and not even cleanse can save them. Not only taht but flying enemy deals damage to everything it hits and on lane it will kill any minion that isnt cannon or bigger. Nothing is going to stop that Q.

Glory971 votes

You can cleanse + flash the kick and dodge the first instance of lee sins q. And since you dont even know about this I think I'm not wrong to say that it requires skill to counterplay the RQQ combo

Daddy Tie Me Up1 votes

Oh yes because you have to have both cleanse and flash up to counter single spell in game. Not even supression is more retarded.

Daddy Tie Me Up1 votes

yeah sorry mate i just realised what you wrote. Though its still ridiculous that you need both flash and cleanse up.

BeatzBoyFTW1 votes

Great, the next time I go top lane, I'll just go Tp/Cleanse to get rid of Lee Sin's nuisance combo when he ganks me.

See how stupid this looks? The amount of counterplay given in this kind of context is narrow af. You're telling me if I:

  • don't pick cleanse.
  • not Gangplank.

then it would be "my fault" to get countered by his RQQ combo.

You can also do it with qss.

  1. "In a good spot right now"? The fuck? He's been in a good spot since his creation. No meta is complete without Lee Sin as a top tier

  2. I don't admire someone stomping every game they play because they know how to press RQQ and 4+E?

Glory971 votes

He has always been played since he came out yes. And yes he was never trash, but there was cinderhulk-meta, with tank junglers dominating. There was runglaive with elise and nidalee beeing god tier champions. And also gragas and rek'sai were better junglers for most of the time in the last 1 and a half years. Also from my perspective Ivern andGraves are stronger than lee at the moment As for your second point, if you intend to say that lee sin is not a champion difficult to master, then what champion is difficult?

Lee also got buffed to deal percent health damage with his ult during cinderhulk and Sion and Sej got gutted at the same time because "they had their time in the spotlight", Runeglaive was quickly removed (because of ezreal, but that's a different bugbear) and knocked those champs almost completely out of the game, and Gragas maybe, but Rek got repeated nerfs to the point of being little more than a knock up bot.

Meanwhile Lee has been at the top since the beginning, getting buffs when he somehow falls out of the meta and getting love taps to his numbers when the screaming gets just a bit too loud for Riot's ears.

well if lee sin is in an "ok-spot" most of the time, with other junglers beeing stronger most of the time why is that so awefull if he's a toptier jungler for the time right now. Riot doesn't want to make champions garbage so that those who play them don't feel like they are actually playing a champion, but sometimes they do so when a kit is impossible to balance (for example azir). And whenever lee sin is in an "ok-spot" he is very popular, because he is fun to play.

Because players can't stop pushing, don't know how to position in lane, dodge Q,don't realize that every other jungler does the same it just looks different (Hecarim running over someone isn't really flashy as Insec,Vi pressing R and Q is boring and has less counterplay than Lee).

And Lee isn't hard and takes no skill - everyone can be diamond. It's just bronze teams holding back our Singed supports.

Of course fun champions are going to be in every game. Not everyone enjoys low tier characters like Annie

Daddy Tie Me Up1 votes

Lee sin has 2 mechanics. Flashing behind enemy with ult which is hard to execute if you internet sucks and ward jumping which is only muscle memory. Advanced thing is kicking tank into enemy team but that happens like never. Lee sin is easy to play. Difference is though you have to practice one thing over and over again. Practice tool got released so this is no longer an issue.

What do you say for about 95% of LoL roster if Lee is easy ?

Braindead ? Very easy ? Janna ?

Magical Zoe1 votes

Janna is far from brain dead and easy lol, that's soraka.

Daddy Tie Me Up1 votes

jesus hell if soraka is 0 yi is 1 and tallyah is 2 lee sin 1.2. Grats he has 1 skillshot so hard to execute.

Milla Jovovich1 votes

Yea,press E on your Lucian/Cait and let them 1v2 enemy bot lane.

That gameplay tho

Daddy Tie Me Up1 votes

Yes

Daddy Tie Me Up1 votes

The "Skillcap" of lee sin is extremly overrated. Everyone thinks you gotta have some advanced mehonix to use him properly. Ya he is melee champion with narrow skillshot that stops on first target boo hoo. Thats it thats how hard it is to play lee sin. To be efficient all you gotta do is camp bot, enemy cant do shit about it because you can jump walls, escape failed ganks aid your adc. His kit is overloaded and not that hard to execute.

Milla Jovovich1 votes

Lee isn't really hard.Just harder than almost every other champ.League isn't a hard game.

Daddy Tie Me Up1 votes

What are you talking about. He has single skillshot in his whole kit and everything else is point click. Im not saying that good lee sin cant use his ult properly. Im saying that picking up lee sin isnt hard at all.

Milla Jovovich1 votes

That wasn't sarcasm mate, just read again what I said.

Lee is fuckin easy - almost every other champ is braindead easy. Not a hard concept to grasp

Daddy Tie Me Up1 votes

but lee sin isnt harder that almost every champion game thats my point.

Milla Jovovich1 votes

That's your opinion and that's fine.

Lee is kind of like Riven and Yasuo in the sense that those champions are allowed to fight on their terms. You can only engage them if they want to be engaged otherwise they just dash out. Unlike most slippery assassins though, they also have good hard CC for incredible play making.

Lee exemplifies all of those things, when you see a Lee approaching you offensively it's a freakin mind game, because there are so many ways he can go about his approach to killing you. Should you worry about just dodging the Q? What if he ward Dashes instead then Qs? What if he Ward Dashes > Flashes > Dragon Kicks you, or Ward Dash > Q > Flash > Dragon Kick? Or Q > Ward Dash > Dragon Kick. I'm sure I can go on. I mean hell at least when you see Vi you know she's just going to press R.

I personally don't mind Lee, he has a lot of out play potential, but can also out play himself, and you can naturally out play him. But once again, your always on his terms, and since he's so popular dealing with that all of the time can get exhausting.

That is the point. These people had years to play him its time to let lee sin die already. Every single champion was strong at some point or for whole season. Lee sin has been strong for years. People are tired of lee sin every single game. Its not supposed to be fair its supposed to reduce his player base. But dont you worry riot is not going to nerf champion that has 40% play rate and just got Legendary skin. Thats too much money for them.

one problem is that theres happening nothing even close to a discussion. either people blindly defend lee sin or want to see him gutted to the point where he isnt viable at all.

the main problem with lee sin is: he is too reliable in what he is doing. he is the #1 early game champion and cant really be contested by any other jungler which leads to him being extremely strong in early ganks and invades (you cant countergank as enemy jungler if you lose the 2v2 situation). this on its own is kinda fine, someone has to fill this role.

But the problematic part is: he has too many ways to reliable use his tools at both, offense and defense. this makes him not only extremely strong when he goes aggressive, but also extremely strong when being forced into defense (wardhop, q to minions/mobs). This leads to lee sin being too hard to punish for mistakes. compare it to elise or eve for example. both pretty great invaders and strong in catching the other jungler off guard, but if they invade and fail, they die because they have great tools to initiate a fight, but very bad tools to escape it.

And a good lee sin main that knows how to use the strong earlygame to snowball the game deserves to win.

thats the point. he should be high risk, high reward, but the risks he has to take are too low due to his safety and tools to comeback if behind (strong midgame ganks, godlike and healthy clear). Nothing is wrong with him being able to snowball and creating an early game lead, but there should be a way for his playstayle to backfire.
